Prophetic word for today

Lingering blackness (Part 1)

As you may know, year 2011 began with a multitude of news stories about birds falling en masse from the sky and even fish dying en masse. The first story that broke worldwide was the death of more than 3,000 red-winged blackbirds, who fell from the sky shortly before midnight on New Year's Eve in Beebe, Arkansas (realgardeners.yuku.com, cbsnews.com); this was followed by the report of more than 100,000 drum fish dying in the Arkansas River in the north-western section of the state, 125 miles from where the birds had fallen (nydailynews.com). This was followed by news of 500 birds falling dead in Point Coupee Parish, Louisiana (businessinsider.com), followed by news of dozens of jackdaws dropping dead in the town of Falkoeping, Sweden (bbc.co.uk). This was followed by news of hundreds of turtle doves appearing dead in the northern Italian town of Faenza (bbc.co.uk). This was then followed by even another story of dozens of starlings dropping dead in the town of Constanta in eastern Romania (bbc.co.uk). All these news stories broke within the first 12 days of 2011.

As all of this happened, three other incidents happened in the UK that stayed under the radar of international news. Two days into 2011, hundreds of dead fish (mostly bream, carp, and roach) were found dead in the marina on the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal near Abergavenny; it is believed that the fish died from cold weather, ice, and lack of oxygen (bymnews.com). Eight days prior to the start of 2011, hundreds of fish (large koi carp, crucian carp, bream, roach, fry, and skimmers) died in the lake at Greenbank Park, Allerton (a suburb of Liverpool); it is believed that methane gas produced by leaves that had fallen to the lake's water became trapped underneath the ice, causing oxygen levels to drop and the fish to suffocate under the winter ice; Greenbank Park's lake was the only park lake in the Liverpool area that was affected by this phenomenon (liverpoolecho.co.uk). Four days into 2011, scores of fish were found dead in Werrington Brook, in Cuckoo's Hollow, Peterborough (in the East of England) (peterboroughtoday.co.uk).

A world map is available at maps.google.com that shows the locations of recent massive animal deaths throughout the world around the start of 2011. As of 19 January, the only 2 countries with multiple incidents in this map, are the US, the UK, New Zealand, and Australia; 15 out of the 30 incidents in the map happened in the US alone.

Our comments

Sign of blackness

In December 2010, the Lord very explicitly placed it in this writer's heart to meditate on the book of Zephaniah. As I read the first chapter, it became plainly clear, clear as the light of day, that this chapter was a word of judgement from God against those who have chosen to remain stuck in the black-horse stage, meaning that it is God's word to America in its current spiritual condition. As I struggled to understand the spiritual details behind this chapter, one verse in particular immediately caught my attention, and it resonated in my spirit with a sense of deep relevance; that verse is verse 3:

"I will consume man and beast; I will consume the fowls of the heaven, and the fishes of the sea, and the stumblingblocks with the wicked; and I will cut off man from off the land, saith the LORD" (Zephaniah 1:3)

[The "stumblingblocks" are a figure of those who "get in the way" of the Lord's purposes through their mere inertia. Even when they are not moving in the direction opposite to the one prescribed by God, their "III" (i.e.- Indifference-Induced Immobility) is as worthy of judgement in the Lord's eyes as those actively practicing unrighteousness. The "stumblingblock" "anointing" is brought on by prolonged exposure to the religious spirit.]

At the time when I was reading Zephaniah 1, I was reading the English Standard Version, which reads, "I will sweep away man and beast; I will sweep away the birds of the heavens and the fish of the sea ...". The phrase "sweep away" made me think of the Lord God "erasing" the birds from the Earth's atmosphere with one swipe of His Hand. Even though I understood that this word from the Lord was eminently spiritual, it was not at all surprising to my heart when the news of literal birds falling from the sky and literal fish dying began to fill the news.

As December 2010 continued its march, and, as the year 2011 approached, I could sense an impending cloud of darkness in the spiritual sky. The coming of 2011 did not bring joy and expectation to my heart and mind. Instead, it brought a sense of darkness and dismay, a darkness and dismay that remain in my heart, even now, like a heavy weight that causes my heart to sputter, a weight that erodes all desire to move on. Though such a burden has been a persistent part of this writer's life, the heaviness I now perceive has a different component to it, the component of "elucidation". In the past, the despair that would envelop me had a strong emotional component that clouded the eyes of my mind and caused me to "feel" a heavy darkness; now, the despair has a more "sober" taste to it, for I now see with the sober eyes of my mind that there is indeed no hope, that the visions and dreams that had been placed in my heart by the Spirit of God, the visions and dreams He had called me to sacrifice my life for, shall not be realised in this generation. Having invested my entire life into this field of dreams, it is heart-wrenching to behold the barren field and see absolutely no harvest. Having been deprived (by choice and by force) of any semblance of a "normal", "tranquil" life, the only thing that made the investment "worthwhile" was the harvest I envisioned before me, and to reach the end of this long road and realise that there was no harvest brings a sense of devastation that cannot be attributed to "fickle emotions" or "attacks of the enemy", for this devastation was not satan's doing; it was the doing of those who call themselves by God's name; it was the doing of a nation and a generation too blind to realise what God had laid before them, too proud to accept that their trek remained woefully incomplete, too foolish to understand that doing nothing was tantamount to doing evil. This devastation of the harvest, this black emptiness over the barren field, is no longer a threat from the enemy hanging over my head to torment my soul. It is as real as the moon that rises over the Earth at night, as real as the birds that began falling from the sky as 2011 came around.

As we have shared before, the black horse causes "famine", meaning that it consumes all that causes temporal fullness in order to expose the underlying spiritual emptiness. This is the reason why, as 2011 approached, the Lord sent a "cloud of blackness" over the Earth's landscape, a cloud that began to literally empty the skies of birds and various lakes of fish. The cloud was filled with a heaviness of heart, a heaviness brought on by the snuffing out of hope in the remnant's heart:

"Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life" (Proverbs 13:12)

[The word "deferred" was translated from the Hebrew verb mashak, which literally means "to drag", thereby denoting something that "drags on" unnecessarily long. The word "sick" was translated from the Hebrew verb chalah meaning "to become weak, tired, sick"; therefore, the Lord is speaking of a heart that grows weak and weary from carrying a "hope burden" for way longer than it needed to.

Notice also that the Lord uses the verb "cometh" when referring to the hope being fulfilled, which speaks of that which is longed for coming to you, as opposed to you going to it. This speaks of a desire whose fulfilment hinges on factors that lie outside of your will and that depend on the wills of others aligning themselves with the vision in your heart. The word "cometh" also speaks of a manifestation that changes the surrounding atmosphere; in other words, it does not speak of a mere personal goal being achieved or a personal edifice being built, but, rather, it speaks of a transformation of the environment around you that not only affects you but affects all the people around you.]

Though scientists continue to wonder what caused these birds' sudden death, the lack of external trauma and the absence of viruses or bacteria reveal a sudden "internal failure" consistent with a sudden stoppage of the heart. In the case of the fish, the prevailing cause of death seemed to be difficulty to breath due to loss of oxygen, i.e.- asphyxiation. "Oddly" enough, according to wikipedia.org, the word "asphyxia" is derived from the Greek prefix "a" meaning "without" and the word "sphyxis" meaning "heartbeat". Therefore, even the fishes' asphyxiation spiritually points to a problem of the heart. Thus, the birds' and fishes' sudden deaths are a manifestation in the natural of the cloud of darkness that enveloped the heart of the remnant as the hopes for revival in this generation died away. As the matriarchal soul's "heart of darkness" began to overshadow the spirit-centric soul of the remnant, the wrath of God became unleashed in the natural realm, leading to the death of the birds and the fishes precisely as year 2011 rolled in. Instead of bringing new hope and expectation, year 2011 only brought sorrow and disappointment to those longing for God's Glory, for this was the first year in the 21st Century that started with the revival already dead.

Some have casually dismissed these news stories as a mere by-product of the "age of communication". According to an AP reporter (boston.com), the mass deaths of birds and fishes occur on a regular basis, and the recent hoopla is only because we now have the Internet and mobile phones that allow people to take and publish pictures of scenes that would otherwise go unseen by the rest of the world. Such a rationale, however, would only make sense if the Internet and mobile phones became widely used only until last year, but we all know that Al Gore did not invent the Internet in 2010, and mobile phones have had "picture-taking" and "picture-uploading" capabilities for quite a few years now. Regardless of how many of these mass deaths do happen every year, the fact is that, after so many years of mass communications being available to such a wide audience, it was only until now that such stories hit the "airwaves", and, it was precisely as the new year rolled in that they became widespread. The fact that the story that kick-started the series of news stories "happened to" feature two simultaneous mass deaths within a few miles of each other adds to the "oddity" of these events, and, as we have shared before, coincidence is but an illusion.

The Leonidas remnant

The birds that fell in Arkansas (the ones who kick-started these news stories about mass animal deaths worldwide) were red-winged blackbirds. Their "blackness" points to people immersed in the black-horse stage, and the red marks on their wings are a sign showing that they had successfully gone through the previous stage, the red-horse stage. These blackbirds also point to the red-winged blackbird that sister Carol Mann shared about some 19 months earlier, on D-Day 2009. As some of you may recall, this is what she shared then,

"An odd incident happened later that morning as I was walking through the parking lot of the YMCA, thinking about the meaning of the dream and vision, and holding my new (black and red) cell phone in my hand. My attention was caught by the frantic cries of a red-winged black bird, as he bravely, gallantly, tried to dislodge from the top of a light pole a large hawk, who had positioned himself there, [had] zeroed in on the bird's young in their nest, and [was] waiting for the right moment to snatch one of them. But this little bird kept "screaming" at the hawk, directly to his face, and punctuated his screams with repeated dive bombings against the hawk from behind and from above. It was an amazing drama. I couldn't go into the building until I saw the end of it. It went on for some 10-12 minutes, with nothing apparently being accomplished by the little bird. It seemed as if those babies would be stolen by that robber. But the bird kept at it, over and over and over, doggedly, incessantly. FINALLY! Suddenly! The hawk just flew away! From what I could see, FAR AWAY, out of sight! By this time, an elderly gentleman had joined me and was captured by the scene as well. When the hawk flew off, we both let out a spontaneous cheer. I somehow felt a little relief and a moment of shared triumph of good over evil: perhaps we remnant (I pray to God that I may be accounted worthy!) might just be allowed to save The Day."

Notice how the courageous red-winged blackbird was able to prevent the next generation (i.e.- its young) being devoured by a devastating regression into the days of Cain. This speaks of the remnant successfully preserving the latter-rain revival alive for the next generation. Like Leonidas and the 300 at Thermopylae, they were able to hold off the enemy enough so as to prevent him a crushing victory. However, just as with Leonidas, the faithful remnant perished in the process; this is the reason why, a few months later, 3000 blackbirds fell dead in Arkansas, thus symbolising that the brave blackbird who had spared the life of a future generation of birds would not "live" to see the fruit of its labour. In the case of Leonidas and the 300 at Thermopylae, the enemy that they held off but lost to was eventually driven off, but it happened months after Leonidas had passed away, and the full expulsion of the enemy from Europe was not completed until 31 years after Thermopylae (as indicated on wikipedia.org). Just as Frodo declared to his friend Sam in the last instalment of the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy, "We set out to save the Shire, Sam, and it has been saved, but not for me". So it has been with the Leonidas remnant of this generation.

{According to wikipedia.org, Leonidas was the 17th of the Agiad line of Spartan kings. This is no spiritual coincidence, given that, as we have shared before, the number "17" speaks of a manifested remnant. The current "Leonidas" remnant that "died" in 2010 were a remnant bent on forging the Lord's latter-day manifestation, and they chose to "die" before compromising that conviction.}

Interestingly enough, the name "Thermopylae" literally means "hot gateway" (according to wikipedia.org); it received this name because of several natural hot water springs in the area. This speaks of water trapped in the depths of the Earth that is released out into the surface, which is a figure of the manifestation of God's green-horse riders from 5th-seal hibernation and out into the surface of the Earth. Thus, the 300's defence of this position is a figure of how the Leonidas remnant have fought to prevent the enemy overrunning the latter-rain manifestation in such a way that it would be permanently thwarted for future generations. As a side note, I must share with you that the Gateway notebook computer that had accompanied me across my Azazel banishment and my personal 5th-seal hibernation of 2006 onwards "died on me" on 31 December 2010. After "hibernating" it (literally) on the last day of 2010, it never started up again. When I tried to start it up on 1 January 2011, the computer simply would not respond. After troubleshooting the issue, I realised that the CPU and the motherboard were still functional, but the hard disk had burnt itself out (it had a burnt smell to it). An antivirus scan had been running for most of the day on 31 December 2010, and, apparently, all the hard disk activity caused by the scan pushed the already-weakened hard disk "over the edge". Thus, the phrase "hot gateway" makes a great deal of sense to me. I found it rather "interesting" that God did not allow this Gateway computer to live to see the year 2011; all the words posted between "American Civil War (Part 2)" and "Brisbane" were written on that computer, meaning that 47% (=155/327) of the words posted on this website up until the end of 2010 were composed on that computer. The number "47" points to the River of God. Therefore, it is no spiritual coincidence that the first posting after the Gateway computer's hard disk burnt out was called "Dry river bed (Part 1)". In a sense, you can say that a personal computer's hard disk is its "heart", pumping data to and from the rest of the computer (with the CPU acting as the computer's "brain"), so it makes sense that the "hot Gateway's heart" gave out as 2010 ended, just as the remnant's did when the hope of a revival in this generation died in 2010.

According to wikipedia.org, the 5th-century-BC Greek historian Herodotus wrote that the Persian invader Xerxes was so incensed by Leonidas' defiant stand that, instead of honouring the defeated-but-valiant warrior according to Persian tradition, he ordered Leonidas' head chopped off, and he ordered his body be crucified. In other words, Xerxes not only killed him once, but was so outraged at Leonidas that he chose to kill him again. The fact that he chose crucifixion as his second "execution method" is no spiritual coincidence. The reason why this generation's "Leonidas remnant" were forced to perish at "Thermopylae" is the fact that this generation chose to "crucify the Lord twice". Too stubborn to move out of the black-horse stage, America was forcing the remnant off to a second green-horse death, Azazel banishment, and 5th-seal experience, but God would have none of that. He was not about to crucify His remnant again, not for the same nation and the same generation. Since there was no other nation or region besides America (and the UK) that the remnant could die for, the entire angelic invasion from Heaven was called off for one more generation.

Lone Beebe green in a land of black

There is a strong spiritual message behind the fact that the birds fell in Beebe, Arkansas. I can confidently claim that, if someone did a survey of Americans living outside of Arkansas, asking them, "Who is the most famous Beebe that you know?", the great majority of people would draw a blank, but, amongst those who would posit an answer, most would either say "Don Beebe" or "the guy who played for the Buffalo Bills". As many NFL fans may recall, Don Beebe was a wide receiver for Buffalo; he was part of the Bills teams that lost 4 consecutive Super Bowls (Super Bowls 25, 26, 27, and 28) during his 6 years there. After his time in Buffalo, he played for the Carolina Panthers during their inaugural season in the NFL (1995), and then went on to play for 2 years for the Green Bay Packers. Both years that he played for the Packers, Green Bay reached the Super Bowl, winning the first one (Super Bowl 31) and losing the second one (Super Bowl 32) to John Elway and the Denver Broncos.

From the above, we can conclude that Don Beebe speaks of a person who was able to reach the edge of the Jordan, but who was not allowed to enjoy the blessings of crossing over it, not because of any failure of his own, but because of the collective failure of those around him. Even though those around him had enough talent to get to the edge of the Jordan, they never understood the adjustments that they needed to make in order to "get over the hump". The fact that the Bills' Super Bowl losses were in no way attributable to anything in Don Beebe per se was highlighted by what might just be Don Beebe's most famous play, a play considered by ESPN to be the 11th most memorable in Super Bowl history (according to espn.go.com). As indicated on wikipedia.org, with the Bills already down 52-17 late in the 4th quarter of Super Bowl 27, Dallas defensive tackle Leon Lett recovered a fumble on Buffalo's 45-yard line and ran it back towards the end zone. When he reached the 10-yard line, Lett slowed down and held the ball out in arrogant fashion, watching himself on the stadium's "Jumbotron" screen, attempting to do a celebration similar to the one normally carried out by arrogant team-mate Michael Irvin. Whilst Lett was immersed in the Jumbotron glow of his own "personal greatness", a hustling Don Beebe was streaking across the field towards Lett, and, out of nowhere, he swatted the ball out of Lett's hand just before he crossed the goal line. The ball went through the end zone and out of bounds. Thus, instead of a Dallas touchdown, the play turned into a touchback for the Bills who retained possession of the ball. Had Leon Lett scored, Dallas would have reached a total of 58 points, which would have become a new Super Bowl record (breaking the record 55 points poured on John Elway's Broncos by San Francisco in Super Bowl 24). Yet, even with the game lost and the Bills humiliated beyond hope, Don Beebe remained determined not to settle into an attitude of complacency, and he remained determined to prevent as many Cowboy points as possible. Besides preventing Lett's arrogant touchdown, he also added an offensive touchdown of his own, scoring on a 40-yard pass from Frank Reich; this touchdown came in the 3rd quarter, when the score was already 31-10 in favour of Dallas, and it was the last time Buffalo scored. Interestingly enough, Beebe's touchdown is sandwiched in between 6 Dallas scores, 3 scores for 17 points before Beebe's score and 3 scores for 21 points afterwards, for a total of 38 points. As we have shared before, the number "38" speaks of stagnation in the black-horse wilderness, and the number "40" speaks of a green-horse remnant that cross the Jordan and enter into the Promised Land (after the 40 years in the wilderness). Therefore, Beebe's 40-yard touchdown in the middle of a 38-point Dallas streak testifies that Beebe was, in a spiritual sense, a solitary "green-horse rider" trapped in the middle of a black-horse generation uninterested in sharing his "greenness".

The fact that Don Beebe was born in Aurora, Illinois is no spiritual coincidence. The word "Aurora" speaks of the rising of the Sun of Righteousness and the dawning of the Era of the Spirit. Illinois, on the other hand, points to the pastoral matriarchy spirit, since, as we have shared before, the "capital of the pastoral matriarchy spirit" in America is in Illinois. Therefore, the name "Aurora, Illinois" speaks of someone with the latter-rain anointing abiding in the middle of an environment and a people that are entirely hostile to it.

Black independence gone awry

All of the above illustrates a spiritual principle that the Lord emphasised in my heart (in a very dramatic way) on 24 January 2011. It is a principle that was somehow already present in my subconscious, but which required a "stark confrontation" sent by God on that day in order for it to surface into my conscious understanding. As we have studied before, the black horse is the "horse of independence" that calls believers to come out from under the religious structures of Cain in order to have a direct impartation from God in the uncovered wilderness, free from the dependence on human intermediaries. As the believer's black-horse walk progresses, his/her sense of independence from natural man will strengthen. However, as this sense of independence grows, most believers become trapped in the sense of "individuality", "freedom", and "internal strength" that comes with this independence, and, as they are, they become convinced that the events in their lives, and even the events in the world around them, hinge on two people: God and themselves. They refuse to believe that the wills of others can determine or significantly "affect their fate", so to speak, and they lose God's vision of the Church as a spiritual Body. Thus, the evangelistic impartation that begins to flow after the black-horse apostolic and prophetic impartations are "complete" is perverted by the enemy into a strong-willed Amorite determination that sees success as depending on the believer's will alone. Ironically, as this happens, the sense of black-horse "individual determination" begins to deceive the believer about the nature of God's "macro vision", meaning that the believer comes under the influence of the Hittite spirit of deceit, and, when confronted about his black-horse stagnation, the believer either turns his focus to purely temporal matters, disregarding the rest of the Body altogether, or he turns to visible external acts to prove that he and God will indeed rescue the Church from her spiritual decadence, meaning that the believer "goes Girgashite", since the Girgashite spirit is the one that focuses believers on the visible and moves them away from the prophetic. Because the BHS (black-horse-stuck) believer is unable to visualise the magnitude of God's grand green-horse vision, he reduces God's prophetic vision to one of externally visible results on a localised level that will somehow become overwhelmingly global; even if he continues to operate in the prophetic, it is a prophetic anointing stunted by a Girgashite inability to visualise God's fractal, green-horse plan. All of this means that the BHS believer turns into an Amorite-Hittite gone Girgashite, which happens to be the exact spiritual profile of the followers of Balaam, the black-horse riders' enemy. In other words, when a believer becomes stuck in the black-horse stage, he eventually deteriorates into the very enemies he has been fighting against at that stage. Those who refuse to progress are destined to regress. Just like Simon Peter, those who remain in the independent, strong-willed, "I-and-God-can-conquer-the-world" mentality (John 18:10) eventually end up denying the Lord (without meaning to) when they are unwilling to understand God's green-horse purposes, even when they are struggling to remain close to the Lord through it all (John 18:15-18, 18:25-27).

As opposed to the BHS believer, the green-horse rider becomes painfully aware of the Body's "collective" nature, and he realises how "impotent" he becomes when the rest of the Body refuses to go along. Yeshua Himself shows this green-horse "dependence" on the collective will when He asked the disciples to pray with Him at Gethsemane:

"37 And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy. 38 Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me. 39 And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt. 40 And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?" (Matthew 26:37-40)

[Notice how the Holy Spirit singles out Peter in verse 37, and notice how Yeshua singles Peter out again when speaking to the disciples in verse 40. This is to emphasise that God was struggling to make Peter understand the "non-individual" nature of the green-horse gallop.]

Yeshua's dependence on the will of others is also clearly shown when He put Himself in a situation of vulnerability where His fate would be decided by others. He could have bolted out of Gethsemane on a "black stallion" with great power and thunder, with 12 legions of angels descending from Heaven to rescue Him (Matthew 26:53) from the huge armed mob (Matthew 26:47) that were coming down upon Him. He could have enabled the very willing Peter to fight off all the attackers and prove to Jerusalem and the world that no one, not a mob, not the priestly class, not even the Roman Empire, could stand against the power of Almighty God. Yet, He became radically vulnerable, allowing others to decide what to do with Him:

"39 But ye have a custom, that I should release unto you one at the passover: will ye therefore that I release unto you the King of the Jews? 40 Then cried they all again, saying, Not this man, but Barabbas. Now Barabbas was a robber." (John 18:39-40)

To the individualist BHS believer, it is utterly unnerving to think that his fate is somehow in the collective hands of others. Losing control of one's life and not having full control over the events around you is, to the BHS believer, a sign of weakness, a sign of faithlessness in the power of God. It is precisely this unwillingness to transition from "individual fortitude" to "collective vulnerability" that prevents many faithful black-horse believers crossing over into the fullness of the green-horse stage.

As we have shared before, one swallow does not a summer make. Therefore, "spiritually green" as Don Beebe may have been, he was surrounded by strong-willed Buffalo players and an organisation bent on remaining "spiritually black", which meant that Beebe could not, by himself, cause Buffalo to win the Super Bowl.

No 4th quarter respite

Unbeknownst to many newer NFL fans, Don Beebe is considered one of the fastest players in the entire history of the NFL (as indicated on wikipedia.org). Also unbeknownst to many Christian NFL fans, Don Beebe is a devout Christian, as shown by his immediate reaction upon catching the 40-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Frank Reich in Super Bowl 27, on the last play of the 3rd quarter:

Don Beebe honouring God in Super Bowl 27

{This image was downloaded from bleacherreport.com}

The fact that this touchdown catch was the last play of the 3rd quarter has spiritual significance. As we have shared before, the faithful green-horse remnant carried the spiritual burden for 3 quarters, but were told by God that they would not be allowed to carry the burden on the 4th quarter, for it was necessary for the "sideliners" to step up and carry their share. One person or one small group of people alone would not be allowed to forge God's latter-rain revival, for it must be a corporeal thing. This is why Super Bowl 27's 3rd quarter ended with Don Beebe kneeling before God in view of a worldwide audience, as if to say, "My job here is done; it is my time to rest now". Therefore, it is no spiritual coincidence that the webpage from which we obtained the picture shown above says, "... he is resting ..." when describing the picture (when what he is obviously doing, to the natural eye, is praying a prayer of thanksgiving to God).

Even though Beebe was supposed to "rest" in the 4th quarter and let others carry the burden, he did carry out the famous play against Leon Lett in the 4th quarter, preventing a record-setting point total for Dallas. This is a figure of how the remnant entered into "Leonidas" mode and were called to hold off the enemy to prevent the next generation losing all opportunity of the visitation squandered by this generation. Even though both Leonidas and Beebe "lost", both did enough to prevent the enemy inflicting a permanent damage on God's purposes for the next generation. When a play sets a record, it is permanently etched in the record books; thus, when Beebe prevented the scoring record, he prevented a permanent damage.

{The fact that Super Bowl 27 was played in Pasadena is no spiritual coincidence to this writer. These words are being typed in Pasadena, California, and, during my time here, I have felt that I am coming to the end of my run and that this forcible "Pasadena tour of duty" was intended by God as part of His "spiritual damage-control plan" to minimise the enemy's massive victory in this generation.}

Delay turned to cancellation

The fact that Buffalo was defeated by a Dallas team 52-17 in Super Bowl 27 is no spiritual coincidence either. As we have shared before, Dallas (i.e.- "Big D") is a stronghold of the spirit of ministerial reverence that was key in "D"elaying God's revival in 2005. This 4-year delay caused the remnant to go through an unnecessary period of additional suffering (represented by the number "52") before the remnant could be manifested (represented by the number "17"). Unfortunately, that unnecessary period of additional suffering was eventually extended to the rest of this generation (on 4 April 2010) after the 4-year delay that ended on 11 May 2009 (328 days earlier) proved not to be enough to deal with the resistance put up by this stubborn generation. That is why Buffalo was trounced by Dallas once again in the next Super Bowl, losing by 17 points, 30-13, in Super Bowl 28. The 17-point loss means "the remnant's manifestation has been lost". The number "28" speaks of completion; therefore, the Lord was declaring on 4 April 2010 that the spiritual cycle for this generation had been completed and that there was nothing else anyone could do to rescue this generation's calling.

America's Death Valley

After his time with the Bills, Don Beebe was signed as a free agent by the Carolina Panthers for their inaugural season of 1995 (according to wikipedia.org). He played there for one season, and, interestingly enough, it is the only season that the Panthers played in South Carolina (since 1996, they have played all their home games in what is now known as "Bank of America Stadium" in Charlotte, North Carolina). Their home stadium in 1995 was Memorial Stadium in Clemson (the home of the Clemson University Tigers), which is "affectionately" known as "Death Valley", a name given to it by the coach of Presbyterian College in 1948, whose team had a hard time winning or even scoring at that stadium; according to wikipedia.org, the phrase may also be related to the fact that the university cemetery sits on a hill that overlooked the field until the upper decks were built.

Don Beebe's one season in South Carolina after his time with the Bills is no spiritual coincidence. As we have shared before, South Carolina is America's bastion of "isolationism". Therefore, it is a spiritual bastion of black-horse individualism gone awry. Thus, by sending Beebe to South Carolina for his 7th NFL season, the Lord was symbolising the spiritual place that he had been trapped in for his first 6 seasons as a Buffalo Bill. Even though the prominent colours on the Bills uniform were blue with some red (as shown in the picture above), he had all along been playing in a black-with-red team (i.e.- he had been playing for a team of red-winged blackbirds). The green-horse mantle of blue vulnerability that Buffalo were supposed to wrap themselves in never materialised, and the dark navy/royal blue colour turned into black, for which reason Buffalo never won a Super Bowl during their impressive 4-year run. In a sense, the Lord liberated Don Beebe from Buffalo after 6 seasons so that he could have a season of Sabbath rest from the black-horse atmosphere there. Even though Carolina were also dogged by a red- and black-horse environment, they were a brand new football team, meaning that they had a more justifiable "excuse", so to speak, for not yet being "green".

The Panthers' connection to the black horse is not only evident in the fact that they played in South Carolina. It can also be seen in the team's name, since the word "panther" is usually used to refer to black panthers, which are large cats covered by a very dark black fur (hence the black panther on the team's logo). The Panthers' connection to black-horse stagnation is further emphasised by the fact that they played their first season in Clemson University's stadium. As indicated on wikipedia.org, Clemson University was named after its founder, Thomas Green Clemson. As can be seen from his second name, Clemson, a man born in Philadelphia (the birthplace of the American nation) had a calling to "go green". Unfortunately, just as his first name ("Thomas") bears out, he hesitated, and, instead of adopting the radical message of freedom heralded by the green horse, he got caught up in the traditionalism of the South. Fittingly enough, he worked as "Superintendent of Agriculture" towards the end of the James Buchanan administration, an administration riddled by the spirit of "fence straddling". As the threat of war loomed, Clemson resigned, and he decided to wholeheartedly support his adopted state of South Carolina when it attacked Fort Sumter, and even enlisted in the South's Confederate Army. Even though he apparently was not a racist himself, he was willing to support a rebel government that was bent on perpetuating slavery and the oppression of blacks. Thus, he is a perfect figure of an America that began its journey into the fullness of the green-horse stage but which suddenly hesitated as it realised that it was being called to commit to some rather fractal concepts that defied its present understanding. Instead of crossing the Jordan, it pulled back, and, after doing so, it began committing wholeheartedly to the very concepts that had caused it to hesitate at the edge of the Jordan. Thus, America went from "green" back to "black", and even back to tinges of Cain's redness.

All of the above correlates with the nickname of Clemson University's stadium, "Death Valley". Crossing the Jordan and completing one's green-horse walk implies walking through the valley of the shadow of death referred to in Psalm 23. Thus, the phrase "death valley" has strong green-horse connotations. However, when you choose to become stuck in the black-horse stage, the black-horse wilderness goes from being a place of impartation to a place of generational death, just as it happened to the Israelites who came out of Egypt and perished in the desert due to their stubbornness and rebellion. Therefore, the "death valley" of voluntary individual death becomes the "death valley" of involuntary generational death when people become stuck in the black-horse stage.

The season after Don Beebe left Carolina, the Panthers moved to North Carolina and have since been playing in what is now known as "Bank of America Stadium". This certifies that the black-horse nature of the Carolina Panthers (and the Buffalo Bills of the 1990s) applies to America as a whole. America was born as a "black-horse nation" of people who escaped from the religious structures of Cain in Europe to forge a new future in the "black-horse wilderness" of America. Because of this, America developed a strong spirit of independence and rugged individualism, a "can-do" attitude that enabled it to tame the desolate west and establish a nation that went from coast to coast, thus fulfilling its Manifest Destiny. Ironically, the black-horse individualism that allowed America to become a mighty and influential nation is the same spirit that has prevented it understanding God's green-horse paradigms. Hence, America is now living in its "Death Valley Days" of involuntary generational death. It is also no spiritual coincidence that we unknowingly ended up posting this word on Ronald Reagan's 100th birthday, given his connection to "Death Valley Days" (as explained on wikipedia.org).

Future green day forged by the unsung

After his one season in Carolina, Beebe played his 8th NFL season with the Green Bay Packers, and, when he did, he finally migrated from a black-horse environment to a green-horse environment. Oddly enough, the Lord made sure that Beebe's new team faced Beebe's team from the year before, the 2nd-year Carolina Panthers, in the NFC championship game. Green Bay won that game 30-13 ("coincidentally", the same score by which Beebe's Buffalo lost to Dallas in Super Bowl 28). Green Bay then went on to play in Super Bowl 31, where they defeated the New England Patriots 35-21. Now that he was surrounded by players with a "green" mentality, Beebe was finally able to win the Super Bowl that had eluded him throughout his time in Buffalo.

The green-horse, sacrificial-death nature of Green Bay's victory in Super Bowl 31 was reinforced by the fact that a stuntwoman practicing for a bungee jump to be executed during the game's halftime show died of a massive cranial trauma when she jumped headfirst from the top level of the game's stadium, hitting her head against the concrete-based playing field (as indicated on wikipedia.org). For obvious reasons, the halftime bungee jump was called off, and a title graphic commemorating Laura Patterson was displayed during the game's broadcast; this correlates with the cloud of witnesses formed by green-horse believers who perish before the fulfilment of the Promise but whose work was essential to its success. It is also worth noting that, according to a New York times report, Patterson was using bungee cords that were handled by volunteers with little training, which correlates with how the green-horse rider makes his very life susceptible to the actions (or inactions) of others. During the season that culminated in Super Bowl 31, Green Bay Packer quarterback Brett Favre suffered the loss of his best friend Mark Harvy in a car accident. After the game, Favre was quick to mention his friend's death as a significant part of his journey to the Super Bowl.

Don Beebe played one more season for Green Bay, and, "oddly enough", they reached the Super Bowl once again, making it the 6th Super Bowl appearance in Don Beebe's 9-year NFL career. The Packers faced the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl 32. This was Denver's 4th Super Bowl in the John Elway era, and most people believed that it would be the 4th time a Super Bowl victory would elude John Elway, since the Packers were an 11.5-point favourite. However, the judgement cloud from God that had hung over John Elway for his bratty arrogance and his poor handling of the "Baltimore situation" was now gone. Elway had been punished enough; God's humiliating judgements had turned him into a humble man, and God's cloud of mercy began to hover over him. That is why, after 3 massive and humiliating Super Bowl trouncings, Elway and the Broncos were finally able to win a Super Bowl. Thus, Elway's victory in Super Bowl 32 is another example of redemption after much failure. Don Beebe's presence in that game bears out an important spiritual principle: as the green-horse remnant are redeemed, even those who had a spirit contrary to them begin to be redeemed after God's judgements have done their work. Thus, the green-horse remnant's vindication creates a ripple effect of redemption across all spectra of life, reaching even those who initially opposed them.

Curiously enough, Don Beebe is now a high school football coach at Aurora Christian School in Aurora, Illinois (as indicated on the school's website). This is a figure of how the current remnant's remaining work involves helping the next generation, given that this current generation's future has gone to waste and is not worth any more major effort. We strongly recommend that you watch a video on YouTube where a local reporter is asking Don Beebe questions about his work with the youngsters and his NFL career in general.

It is worth noting that, even though Don Beebe's contribution during the 1996 and 1997 seasons was crucial to Green Bay reaching Super Bowls 31 and 32, he does not appear in either Super Bowl's statistics (as can be verified on sportsbettingstats.com). This bears out a sad reality for the present green-horse remnant. Even though they have laid the underground foundation, and even though they were to also participate in the above-the-surface edifying, this generation has denied them that blessing. Having crucified them twice, this indifferent generation has made sure that the present version of the green-horse remnant will not be "visibly" present in the Revival that is to come. It is no wonder, therefore, that God's Zephaniah judgements loom over this generation like a dark cloud that will simply not go away. Therefore, it is no spiritual coincidence that, as the Lord has had us finishing this posting, most of the US has been pummelled by gloomy, vicious weather.

"That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness" (Zephaniah 1:15)

Interestingly enough, Beebe was honoured as an "Unsung Hero" in 1996 at the NFL Players Association Awards Banquet. This award was given to him because of the high respect he had garnered from players and coaches around the league as a result of his strong work ethic and character (as indicated on wikipedia.org). This award emphasises the silent, sacrificial nature of God's green-horse remnant. Even when they go by "unnoticed", their unsung work is crucial to the true furthering of God's Kingdom on Earth. As I was typing this paragraph, the Lord made me hear a song by Elton John entitled "Your song". As I heard the lyrics and continued to type this paragraph, I realised that the Lord was directing that song at His "unsung" green remnant, for, though the world and the Church may not sing their praises, the Lord God of Israel does:

[Lyrics adapted from lirama.net]

It's a little bit funny this feeling inside
I'm not one of those who can easily hide
I don't have much money, but, boy, if I did
I'd buy a big house where we both could live

If I was a sculptor, but then again, no
Or a man who makes potions in a travelling show
I know it's not much but it's the best I can do
My gift is my song and this one's for you

And you can tell everybody this is your song
It may be quite simple, but, now that it's done
I hope you don't mind
I hope you don't mind that I put down in words
How wonderful life is while you're in the world

I sat on the roof and kicked off the moss
Well, a few of the verses, well, they've got me quite cross
But the sun's been quite kind while I wrote this song
It's for people like you they keep it turned on

So excuse me forgetting but these things I do
You see I've forgotten if they're green or they're blue
Anyway the thing is what I really mean
Yours are the sweetest eyes I've ever seen

{Oddly enough, at the time of this writing, this song's lyrics were last updated at lirama.net on August 27, 2009}

There is more to share on this, but, if God allows it, we will do so in a future posting...
