While reading the March 15, 2008 Fields of glory posting, it reminded me of the song lyrics in the song "Fields of Gold", recorded by Sting [and] Eva Cassidy's version.

I wasn't sure if there was a previous posting with a prophetic interpretation of the "Fields of Gold" song lyrics. I used the search engine on your web site and found in the posting "Flooded Land" that the spiritual meaning of gold speaks of the Glory of God and Pure Gold is gold purified through fire.

There have been a number of musicians who have recorded "Fields of Gold". Of the ones I have heard, I favor Eva Cassidy's version of the song because of a personal trial I was going through in 2004. I believe she had a prophetic calling on her life. She also died at a young age.

Eva Cassidy

We were not planning to add any comments to this word until we read the article on Eva Cassidy at wikipedia.org. From there, the Lord led us to other pieces of information, and that is when we began to understand that there was a deep prophetic message hiding beneath this word shared by brother Daniel.

To be honest with you, I had not really heard of Eva Cassidy, especially since her music rose to prominence during a time when I became disconnected from the going-ons in mainstream "secular" music. As a result of this word, however, I felt a strong prompting from the Lord to find out more about this singer. As I did, I was surprised at the prophetic significance of her life.

Eva Cassidy was born on February 2, 1963 in Washington, D.C. and she died of melanoma at the young age of 33, on November 2, 1996. The age of 33 points to Christ's green-horse sacrifice, since He was around 33 when He died at Golgotha, 3 years after His public ministry on Earth began (Luke 3:23). Interestingly enough, Eva Cassidy was born on the 2nd of the month and died on the 2nd of the month, which means that she died exactly 405 months after being born. The number "405" speaks of the spiritual chasm (represented by the digit "0"), the place of death and nothingness, that lies between stage "4" and stage "5" of a believer's spiritual growth. As we have studied before, stage "4" is a temporary stop, and it requires a conscious "uphill" sacrifice, an abysmal leap of faith, to move from stage "4" to stage "5". The dedicated believers who become "comfortable" at stage "4" will inevitably slide back to stage "3", the stage of spiritual mediocrity that most religious believers lie in.

"Coincidentally", the number 405 equals 9 times 9 times 5. The number "9" speaks of dunamis power, and the number "9" multiplied by itself speaks of resurrection power, the dunamis power that can raise a believer from the depths of Death and Sheol (Romans 1:4, Philippians 3:10), and the number "5" emphasises the spiritual leap into stage "5", a leap that requires traversing the valley of the shadow of Death, a leap that is completed as God resurrects you from a state of death.

The land that refused to go green

Eva Cassidy died as a relative unknown in 1996; 4 years had to go by before her music rose to world prominence out of nowhere. In late 2000, her versions of "Over the rainbow" and "Fields of Gold" were played by Irish broadcaster Terry Wogan on BBC Radio 2 in the UK. The audience response was so strong that the songs' album, called "Songbird", shot to #1 on the UK charts. She eventually went on to have 3 #1 albums in the UK. All of this points to the 4-year revival delay America is currently going through. As America spoilt its opportunity for a revival process starting in 2005, the remnant have been forced into a 4-year hibernation period, with the remnant spirit taking refuge in the UK's spiritual realm. This is the reason why Eva Cassidy's music rose to prominence in the UK 4 years after her death, even though she was born and grew up in America.

The album name "Songbird" points once to the green horse of the Apocalypse. As we have shared before, God's green-horse riders are like birds who fly from the 5th-seal underground at the speed of light, flying towards freedom and the enablement of their calling. The American Church has rejected God's green-horse songbirds, but they have found refuge in Britannia. Just as with Elisha (2 Kings 13:19-21), the anointing in God's green remnant shall seem buried and "gone" for a season, only to break forth from the underground to fulfil its purpose, regardless of the delays that matriarchal man has tried to place in God's path.

As we said above, Eva Cassidy died of melanoma. The name "melanoma" comes from the Greek word melas meaning "black", which is the word used in the original (Greek) text of Revelation 6:5 when referring to the black horse of the Apocalypse. Therefore, Eva Cassidy's death-causing disease represents the death that the American Church inflicted upon the remnant due to her determination to remain in the black-horse stage, without making the full and painful transition into the green-horse stage. Because America wanted to stay "black", she killed the green remnant, forcing them to resurface over the skies of Britannia, just as was the case in the literal with Eva Cassidy and her music.

The fact that "Over the rainbow" was one of the songs that "resurrected" Eva's music in the UK has spiritual significance. As we have said before, the rainbow is spiritually related to the Irish people, who in turn are spiritually linked to the green horse. The rainbow speaks of a spiritual prosperity that God's green remnant seek after, a prosperity that lies at the end of a long and difficult spiritual road. The remnant dream of that prosperity, the righteous prosperity that lies somewhere "over the rainbow", a prosperity where God's Spirit reigns supreme over all things, where the Earth's atmosphere is free from matriarchal sin and where the atmosphere is filled with true and fulfilling peace, not the fake and cheap peace that soulish man is after. God's peace requires a painful process, and it is a process that those who regress from their green-horse progress and who get stuck in the black-horse stage are unwilling to complete.

The connection between Eva Cassidy and the transition from the black-horse to the green-horse stage can also be seen in her origins. Her father was of Scottish and Irish descent, and, as we have said before, Scotland is spiritually related to the black horse whilst Ireland is related to the green horse. Interestingly enough, her mother was born in Germany, a country that is strongly related to the red and white horses because of its apostolic, teacher, and evangelistic anointings. This means that all 4 horses of the Apocalypse are represented in her parents, with her father representing the latter 2.

Eva Cassidy was the 3rd of 4 children, which emphasises her connection to the 3rd horse of the Apocalypse, the black horse, for her short life symbolises the transition from the black horse into the green horse and beyond. As we said above, the fact that her music became famous in Britannia first emphasises America's spiritual failure to transition from black to green. This failure was due in great part to the American Church's determination to remain "institutionalised". The American Behemoth wanted God's revival, but she was bent on keeping that revival within the confines of her institutional frameworks. However, God will not allow His latter-day manifestation to be restricted by natural man, for His purposes are much higher than man's puny little interests. God's revival will only happen when the soul is deposed and the Spirit is allowed to rule. God will not allow man to control or to benefit from His manifestation, for He will not work to glorify the worthless queendom of man. This explains why Eva Cassidy was not part of any organised religion, despite holding a belief in God. God's green remnant are bound to God, not to the Church as an institution, and they are willing to spit on the Church's "holy" glory and on all of her revered authority figures so that God's glory and authority may be manifested (Isaiah 43:27-28). Whatever soul is not willing to spit on the Church's glory and authority shall be unable to go green, and she shall be judged accordingly until she either goes green or is destroyed and banished by God's purifying judgements (Jeremiah 23:36-40). That is what has happened to America, and it shall continue to happen until her soul turns green.
