The 4 war fronts (Part 1) First posted: October 29, 2006
In this series of articles, we will study the 4 different types of spiritual fronts that God's remnant believers will be called to fight on, often concurrently. These 4 fronts (mentioned by God in Revelation 10:11) are made manifest as you progress in your spiritual walk in God.
Index
In Revelation 10, the Spirit of God declares the following:
"And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire:" (Revelation 10:1)
Notice that the mighty angel that comes down from heaven appears "clothed with a cloud". This points to the "cloud of witnesses" of Hebrews 12:1, which, as we have said before, refers to the believers who have shed their lives in green-horse sacrifice, and, who like Elisha, died without seeing the fulfilment of God's Promise. These are the believers who have understood the "dark and cloudy side" of the anointing, i.e.- the side of the anointing that calls you to die and experience Sheol for the sake of others. The word "clothed" in verse 1 above was translated from the Greek word periballo, which literally means "to throw around", as when you "throw" a robe around you; periballo appears in verse 43 of the following passage, translated as "cast ... about":
"41And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it, 42Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes. 43For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side, 44And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation." (Luke 19:41-44)
Notice how the Lord uses the word periballo to denote someone who has been handed over to his enemies to be surrounded by them. Therefore, periballo has the connotation of a "violent" act where you are thrown into an inhospitable situation that envelops you and leads to your death; thus, it points to the "blue prayer shawl" that green-horse prophetic riders are willing to be wrapped in as they are taken to their sacrificial deaths.
The mighty angel had a "rainbow on his head". The "head" speaks of "kingship" and "head authority", which is most directly related to the evangelistic ministry, since that is the ministry of spiritual conquest that establishes God's kingdom on Earth. The rainbow, on the other hand, points to the galloping of the 4 horses of the Apocalypse and to the full-blown manifestation of the 7 Spirits of God on Earth. As we have said before, the last colour in the rainbow ("violet") correlates with the Peace & Prosperity Spirit of Laodicea. Therefore, the "mighty angel" of Revelation 10 shall be (and is being) manifested as the time comes for God's remnant to enter into the fullness of their prosperity inheritance.
The mighty angel's "face was as it were the sun". This points to the Sun of Righteousness that imparts God's apostolic judgements on Earth. As we have shared before, beholding God's face is related to the green horse of the Apocalypse and to a soul that is wiling to tithe its own life unto God. Therefore, the mighty angel of Revelation 10 shall be (and is being) manifested as God finds willing conduits of His judgements on Earth. These conduits will be the ones who are willing to behold the death-causing Face of God, and who then "resurrect" out of their Face-to-face encounters with God in order to irradiate the bright glow of God's face on Earth, a glow that will shine forth from their own faces.
"7But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away: 8How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious? 9For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory. 10For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth. 11For if that which is done away was glorious, much more that which remaineth is glorious." (2 Corinthians 3:7-11)
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18)
The mighty angel had "his feet as pillars of fire". The "pillars of fire" point to the following passage:
"19Yet thou in thy manifold mercies forsookest them not in the wilderness: the pillar of the cloud departed not from them by day, to lead them in the way; neither the pillar of fire by night, to shew them light, and the way wherein they should go." (Nehemiah 9:19-20)
Therefore, the "pillar of fire" speaks of a shepherd (i.e.- pastor) guiding sheep. The fact that the pillar of fire appears by night speaks of nameless pastors who work in the anonymous darkness of night (Luke 2:8-12). These are the spiritual pastors who are not interested in having the pastoral ministry overshadowing the other ministries, and whose shepherding will enable (rather than hinder) the manifestation of God's Spirit nature in their brethren. These are pastors who are not according to the pastoral matriarchy but who are according to the priesthood of Melchizedek.
As we have said before, fire speaks of God's purifying judgements. Therefore, the pillars of fire speak of pastors who allow God's judgements to act as guiding parameters for their brethren. Unlike the Canaanite pastors of the pastoral matriarchy, these pastors do not abhor God's judgements, knowing that a guidance without God's judgements is a guidance that leads to Sheol holes of spiritual suicide. A spiritual pastoring that guides fellow believers in God's judgements requires a strong teacher endowment, as shown by the following passages:
"13Who hath directed the Spirit of the LORD, or being his counsellor hath taught him? 14With whom took he counsel, and who instructed him, and taught him in the path of judgment, and taught him knowledge, and shewed to him the way of understanding? 15Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance: behold, he taketh up the isles as a very little thing." (Isaiah 40:13-15)
"8Good and upright is the LORD: therefore will he teach sinners in the way. 9The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way." (Psalm 25:8-9)
"66Teach me good judgment and knowledge: for I have believed thy commandments. 67Before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept thy word." (Psalm 119:66-67)
"According to the sentence of the law which they shall teach thee, and according to the judgment which they shall tell thee, thou shalt do: thou shalt not decline from the sentence which they shall shew thee, to the right hand, nor to the left" (Deuteronomy 17:11)
From all of the above, we can say that angel's feet that were "as pillars of fire" are a figure of the 2 "female" ministries (pastor and teacher) operating in submission to the Spirit. When the soul is submitted to the spirit, the 2 "female" ministries of pastor and teacher operate in seamless synchronicity. By contrast, when the soul is allowed to rule, these 2 ministries become artificially separated; pastors turn into ranting fools dominated by emotionalism who teach nothing solid, and teachers turn into stale and bureaucratic traditionalists who teach nothing transcendent; pastors turn into teachers of fluff, and teachers turn into pastors who take people nowhere new. When the soul rules, pastors turn into an "elite" caste that rule over God's people "just because" they feel it must be so, and teachers turn into an intermediate caste that uphold the pastor's kingship and help keep an external facade of "order" in the pastor's emotion-based kingdom, a kingdom in which the true spiritual laws of God are banned from operating.
In conclusion, we can say that the 4 characteristics of the mighty angel mentioned in Revelation 10:1 are related to the 5 ministries of Ephesians 4:11. As we have studied before, the 5 ministries are also related to the 4 spiritual faces of Ezekiel 1:10. Thus, the angel's characteristics, the ministries, and the spiritual faces are interrelated as follows:
Interestingly enough, these 4 characteristics correlate with the last 4 Apocalyptic seals described in Revelation chapters 6 and 7 and verse 8:1. As we saw above, the 1st characteristic points to the green horse, which is the 4th seal (Revelation 6:7-8). The 2nd characteristic speaks of believers waiting to enter into their rest, which points to the 5th seal of "restless" souls (Revelation 6:9-11). The 3rd characteristic points to the unleashing of God's vindicating vengeance against those who killed His green-horse riders, which points to the 6th seal of God's judgements (Revelation 6:12-7:17). The 4th characteristic points to the end of the soul matriarchy on Earth, the time when the soul of man will, for once, silently listen and submit to the Spirit of God; this correlates with the 7th seal in which a 30-minute silence in the heavens takes place (Revelation 8:1).
As we have said before, the 1st seal of the Apocalypse (the white horse) acts as a spiritual "umbrella" for the next 3 seals (the other 3 horses). In the same way, the 4th seal (the green horse) acts as a spiritual "umbrella" for the last 3 seals (the post-horses seals). In that sense, we could say that the first 4 seals are "white" seals, and the last 4 seals are "green" seals. Thus, we can also say that the mighty angel of Revelation 10 is a comprehensive figure of the believers who complete their green-horse course and who by their sacrifice unleash the 4 green seals and the restoration of all things on Earth. Revelation 10 is a "green" chapter, and the mighty angel described in it represents all of you who are faithful green-horse believers. Through you, the Earth's spiritual atmosphere is being conquered back unto God, releasing it from the Korah-induced satanic grip. In your invisible green-horse sacrifice, you are transforming the entire Earth, preparing it for the Glory of Almighty God.
As shown in the table above, the mighty angel's 4 characteristics are related to the 4 spiritual faces of Ezekiel 1:10. As we have studied before, Ezekiel 1:10 portrays the 4 faces in the following arrangement:
Therefore, the order of the faces in Revelation 10:1 (Eagle at #1, Ox at #2, Lion at#3, and Man at #4) can be portrayed in the following way:
Notice how the order of the faces involves 2 arrows that go right-to-left and top-down, with the arrow related to the grace ministries (prophetic eagle and evangelistic ox) going first. Therefore, the order of the spiritual faces in Revelation 10:1 is the Spirit's way of saying the following:
There is more to say regarding this subject, but we will do so in the next article... |
