Theresa mercy rolled back

{Most of the information below was obtained from Fox News Channel reports}

As you may already know, in the morning of December 26, 2004 (December 25th in the American continent), a 9.0-magnitude earthquake (on the Richter scale) centered in the Aceh province of Sumatra Island, Indonesia, produced massive tsunamis with 500 mile-per-hour waves that killed thousands and left millions homeless across 11 countries, including Indonesia, India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Malaysia. The tsunamis hit major resort areas such as Phuket in Thailand, killing thousands of tourists, many of them European, who were there for the xmas holiday. In India, thousands of fishermen were killed, and Indian officials say that India's fishing industry will take years to recover from this disaster. In India and other countries, mass graves have had to be used to bury the great number of dead, and witnesses declare that scores, if not the majority, of those being dumped in those graves are children (due to their physical inability to reach higher ground as compared to adults).

Surviving witnesses declare that the tsunamis came out of nowhere, without any warning; it was a calm and sunny morning, like any other Sunday morning across south Asia, when the tsunamis hit. In Phuket, Thailand, witnesses say that the water began rising slowly, and, suddenly, it was chest high.

The beaches are littered with dead bodies, and reporters at the scene declare that the stench is overwhelming and unbearable. Many fear the spread of "communicable" diseases as a result of all the cadavers and the lack of potable water and shelter. Many believe that the humanitarian aid effort surrounding this tragedy will be the largest one in the history of mankind. A major U.N. humanitarian-aid official (from Norway) publicly criticized the United States in particular for being "stingy" in its aid efforts after this tragedy.

One of the European nations most affected by the tsunamis was Sweden, who had hundreds of tourists vacationing in the region. Sweden still has 1,500 citizens missing, but one 2-year old Swedish boy was found alive, full of mosquito bites. His picture was posted on the Internet, and his relatives recognized him. They then traveled to Thailand to pick him up.

Other Nordic nations such as Denmark were also affected. Denmark reports that it had around 6,000 tourists in Thailand at the time of the disaster.

The first major south Asian official to speak up shortly after the tragedy was Jusuf Kawa, vice-president of Indonesia. He reported that communication was completely cut off close to the epicenter of the quake; roads were blocked, phone lines were down, and even mobile phone communications were lost. At the time of this writing, communication has yet to be made with many areas of the Sumatra island.

The 9.0-magnitude earthquake was followed by 9 aftershocks, one of them being of magnitude 7.3; the tsunamis, however, were caused by the initial quake only.

A report aired on WNBC on the night of December 26 spoke of how Thai immigrants at a Thai Buddhist temple in Jackson Heights, New York, were focusing their prayers on their homeland of Thailand as a result of this disaster.

The earthquake, with an estimated power of 1,000,000 atomic bombs, was so powerful that its tsunamis even killed hundreds of people in the far-off country of Somalia, in the east African coast. This earthquake came 3 days after an 8.1-magnitude quake that struck the ocean floor between Australia and Antarctica, causing buildings to shake thousands of miles away, but causing no serious damage.

The earthquake itself was the strongest earthquake recorded on the planet in 40 years, and its tsunami death toll is much, much greater than the one for the 1883 earthquake (121 years ago) that hit south Asia when a volcano in Krakatoa erupted. That earthquake was felt in one-thirteenth of the planet and left 38,000 dead.

Scientists say that major earthquakes such as this one literally shake the planet from its orbit around the sun temporarily. It is also estimated that this quake has caused a permanent acceleration in the earth's rotation, decreasing the 24-hour rotation by about 3 microseconds.

In Sri Lanka, around 200 prisoners were able to break out of prison as a result of the tsunamis.

At the time of this writing, the official death toll for the 2004 xmas earthquake is at 68,000, but is expected to rise, since thousands are still reported missing.

Indonesia, the epicenter country, is the largest Muslim nation (population-wise) in the world.

This is the prophetic interpretation:

Xmas judgment continued

This is a continuation of God's judgment against xmas, which the Lord prompted us to write about in our previous prophetic word (we began earnestly writing that word some 2 hours before the quake, and we did not find out about the disaster until the next day). The earthquake struck on xmas day, December 25th, American continent time, and it killed people from all over the world because many, especially Europeans, were vacationing in the region as a result of the xmas holiday.

As we shared before, God's judgment against xmas focused  on creating loss of "communication", and one of the first things that Indonesian officials spoke about was the complete loss of communication with regions around the epicenter. As I was typing the previous prophetic word on xmas, I felt the need to mention the name of the U.S. Airways spokesperson, "Amy Kudwa", who issued a formal apology for the luggage problems they had around xmas day. I was immediately reminded of this name the next day as I saw the name of the Indonesian vice-president on television, "Jusuf Kawa", which as you may notice, is very similar to the spokesperson's last name. Just like Kudwa, Kawa was explaining "communication" problems. (We would be very grateful if any of you e-mailed us with information on the ethnic origin of the name "Kudwa").

[The day we posted this article (Dec 30, 2004), we received an e-mail from a visitor who shared with us the following concerning the name "Kudwa":

  1. Apparently, the name "Kudwa" is derived from or is equivalent to the name "Qudwa", which literally means "exemplar" (i.e.- one who serves as a model or an example)

This confirms the fact that the Lord has caused the South Asia disaster and other problems related to the 2004 xmas season as a spiritual example, as He did with Sodom and Gomorrha (the name "Gomorrha" literally means "submersion", and that is exactly what the tsunamis did to the people.)

"Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire." (Jude 1:7)

"4For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; 5And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly; 6And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;" (2 Peter 2:6)

"8And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified. 9And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves. 10And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth." (Revelation 11:8-10)

Notice how the passage above speaks of the earth dwellers (i.e.- the Girgashites) rejoicing and "sending gifts one to another". The spiritual connection with the "xmas spirit" is evident here.

  2. Kudwa was part of Yasser Arafat's real full name

Yasser Arafat became the "poster child" for the "Palestinian struggle". Those who see the Palestinians as a nation of innocent people oppressed by the Israelis saw Yasser Arafat as a "brave hero" worthy of admiration, completely ignoring the fact that Arafat was, for many years, a ruthless terrorist and a murderer. They also ignore the fact that Arafat, as "president" of the Palestinians, was a boldfaced thief who used the Palestinian people's money to buy the political loyalties of many and whose wife is living it up in France, spending millions of dollars a year there, while the Palestinian people continue lacking many basic services.

The people who laud Arafat also ignore the history behind the Palestinian conflict; they ignore the fact that there never was a Palestinian state before the Israelis arrived and that the Palestinians were flushed out of Jordan and into Israeli lands in an effort on the part of the Arabs to make the Israelis look bad. The Palestinians have constantly been caught lying about supposed "Israeli atrocities", as when they claimed that the Israelis had massacred women and children in a Palestinian city that the Israelis had temporarily closed to journalists during a counter-terrorist raid; when the city was opened to the journalists shortly thereafter, no evidence of the massacre was found.

The connection between "Kudwa" and "Yasser Arafat", therefore, speaks of people who are sinning against God and against their fellow man but who deceitfully portray themselves as "innocent victims" in order to evoke "pity" and "mercy" from those whose "giving", "humanitarian" hearts are so blinded by "suffering" (apparent or real) that they forget to evaluate the righteousness of the supposed victims. God wants us to deal with the roots of unrighteousness because that is the only true way we can really help people.

  3. When searching for "Kudwa" on the Internet, it appears with the name Mohammed very frequently.

This is prophetic confirmation of what God had prompted us to write about Mohammed later on in this word.

We also went to a site on the Internet where we found that the name "Amy" in "Amy Kudwa" is a form of the French word aimée, which literally means "beloved". Hallelujah! This is prophetic confirmation of what God had prompted us to write later on in this word.]

The fact that officials are concerned about the spread of "communicable" diseases is another sign of God's judgment against xmas' "soul communion".

"Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners" (1 Corinthians 15:33)

[The word "evil" was translated from the Greek word kakos, which in the New Testament is generally used in the context of purposelessness and vanity; therefore, kakos points to left-handed Hittite purposelessness, i.e.- the abuse of grace without a true prophetic purpose.

The word "communications" was translated from the word homilia, which literally means "communion", and is derived from the word homilos meaning "a multitude of people gathered together, a crowd".

The word "good" was translated from the word chrestos, which literally means "mild, kind", and is derived from the word chraomai meaning, "to borrow"; therefore, chrestos speaks of someone who generously lends him or herself to the service of another person.

The word "manners" was translated from the word ethos, which, as we have seen before, speaks of "customs" and is related to the spiritual concept of "nation".

Therefore, the verse above is saying that communion where grace is misused (i.e.- not founded on righteousness) distorts a person's predisposition to be of help to others, misdirecting it towards giving others earthly blessings instead of rooting them in God's righteousness and purposes.]

Menace to "society"

During the entire month of December 2004, the Lord has been making us think and talk about Mother Theresa frequently. A few weeks ago, the Lord got me to hear the following quote from Mother Theresa (it is the only quote of hers that I know):

"We sometimes feel that what we do is just a drop in the ocean, but the ocean would be less because of that missing drop"

This quote caught my attention, and the Lord kept reminding me of it very frequently. The quote had a nice ring to it, but there was something about it which did not seem quite right. As this quote incubated in my mind, I found myself speaking with other members of our study group concerning mother Theresa.

I remember hearing about mother Theresa when I was a young child, and, to this day, I have never heard anyone say anything bad about her. She is universally praised, by believers and unbelievers, as an ambassador of peace, as a figure of exemplary human kindness and compassion. Yet, in the middle of her universal acceptance and her tireless work for the poor, there is a very deep, difficult-to-perceive problem which can be "brought to the surface" through the following passages:

"Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets." (Luke 6:26)

"20Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also. 21But all these things will they do unto you for my name’s sake, because they know not him that sent me." (John 15:20-21)

"17And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, 18The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. 20And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him. 21And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears. 22And all bare him witness, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth. And they said, Is not this Joseph’s son? 23And he said unto them, Ye will surely say unto me this proverb, Physician, heal thyself: whatsoever we have heard done in Capernaum, do also here in thy country. 24And he said, Verily I say unto you, No prophet is accepted in his own country. 25But I tell you of a truth, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elias, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, when great famine was throughout all the land; 26But unto none of them was Elias sent, save unto Sarepta, a city of Sidon, unto a woman that was a widow. 27And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Eliseus the prophet; and none of them was cleansed, saving Naaman the Syrian. 28And all they in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath, 29And rose up, and thrust him out of the city, and led him unto the brow of the hill whereon their city was built, that they might cast him down headlong. 30But he passing through the midst of them went his way" (Luke 4:17-30)

The phrase "bare him witness" in verse 22 above can be taken to say "they all testified well of him". In other words, the people at the synagogue all spoke well of Jesus and marveled at His gracious words. However, verse 23 declares that Jesus was not satisfied with them liking Him and having a good image of Him, and He proceeds to speak of how God had found the Israelites to be unfaithful towards Him. As He does this, the crowd, which knew Him and liked Him from His childhood (v16), was filled with wrath (v28) to such an extent that they tried to throw Him from the top of a cliff (v29)!

When you are walking in the Spirit, there will be a natural grace about you which many around you will perceive and like. However, as they get to know you better (i.e.- as you reveal yourself), the Spirit nature that is inside of you will automatically begin to confront the carnality of the people around you (Galatians 5:17), and those who were initially drawn to you because of your grace will be forced to choose between relinquishing their carnality or rejecting you and the grace in you which they initially found to be appealing. Those who live a life of devotion will automatically be persecuted by unbelievers and believers (notice that the ones who wanted to kill Jesus were not "heathens"; they were Jews, just like Jesus):

"14For ye, brethren, became followers of the churches of God which in Judaea are in Christ Jesus: for ye also have suffered like things of your own countrymen, even as they have of the Jews: 15Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they please not God, and are contrary to all men: 16Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, to fill up their sins alway: for the wrath is come upon them to the uttermost." (1 Thessalonians 2:14-16)

"12Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. 13But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived." (2 Timothy 3:12-13)

Therefore, the fact that mother Theresa is a universally loved figure brings many questions to bear. If she was manifesting God's Spirit nature as she worked for so many years in India, wouldn't there have eventually been moments of tremendous spiritual confrontation? As you all know, India is not a "Christian" nation; to this day, it remains a country dominated by fierce spirits of idolatry, black magic, and sexual deviations. Anyone who manifests God's Spirit nature in such an atmosphere over a period of years would have eventually come upon tremendous spiritual confrontation which would have eventually led to a moment of "definition" for the people of India: they would have had to decide between accepting the God inside mother Theresa and remaining with their own gods and way of life. As those of you who have fought in God's spiritual army may know, the evil spirits that possess a territory get mad at believers whose lives are eroding their spiritual influence on that territory. When God's Kingdom comes, the spiritual kings of iniquity must leave, because God does not share His Kingship with evil. Therefore, evil spirits do all they can to attack and destroy all those whose lives and actions become a threat to their evil empire, as was the case with the synagogue and Jesus in Luke 4:17-30.

David Livingston suffered terrible diseases and heartache as he traveled as a missionary throughout 19th century Africa. The story of his life clearly portrays how the evil spirits that ruled over Africa made a concerted effort to destroy him, because they realized how "dangerous" he was. Even though he did not win over many converts, he paved the spiritual road so that others such as Reinhardt Bonke may now harvest millions of souls unto the Lord in Africa (John 4:32-38).

Fellow believer, when we are walking in the Spirit, we become agents of God's Kingdom wherever we go, meaning that we will automatically be attacked by the spirits of iniquity around us, and those attacks will many times be manifested through those who are strongly influenced by those spirits (inside and outside the Church). We become like Davids who threaten the Sauls around us by our mere presence, causing them to want to kill us, especially when they see that we are winning souls unto the full Lordship of God, taking them away from their domination:

"6And it came to pass as they came, when David was returned from the slaughter of the Philistine, that the women came out of all cities of Israel, singing and dancing, to meet king Saul, with tabrets, with joy, and with instruments of musick. 7And the women answered one another as they played, and said, Saul hath slain his thousands, and David his ten thousands. 8And Saul was very wroth, and the saying displeased him; and he said, They have ascribed unto David ten thousands, and to me they have ascribed but thousands: and what can he have more but the kingdom? 9And Saul eyed David from that day and forward. 10And it came to pass on the morrow, that the evil spirit from God came upon Saul, and he prophesied in the midst of the house: and David played with his hand, as at other times: and there was a javelin in Saul’s hand. 11And Saul cast the javelin; for he said, I will smite David even to the wall with it. And David avoided out of his presence twice" (1 Samuel 18:6-11)

Theresa, the "beloved"

If we become "menaces to society" when we walk in the Spirit, why was mother Theresa so "beloved"? Because, as time moved on, her works lost their true "spiritual edge", leaving them as works of "humanitarian aid" rather than spiritual transformation. Since her work had no lasting spiritual impact on the atmosphere around her, the evil spirits in India never saw her as a major threat to their kingdoms. Even the evil spirits inside the institutionalized Christian Church never saw her as a threat, which contributed to her universal acceptance among "Christian" circles. Remember, Jesus was hated and killed by His own people (John 1:12), not by the "heathens", and so it is with those who walk in the Spirit: the fiercest attacks will always come from inside the house.

John chapter 6 narrates how Jesus supernaturally fed 5,000 men, which made Him very "popular":

"When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take him by force, to make him a king, he departed again into a mountain himself alone" (John 6:15)

He then appears to these people later on and begins to tell them that they must eat His flesh and drink His blood to take part with Him (John 6:51-59), which "freaked them out" and made them abandon Him:

"60Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it? 61When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you?" (John 6:60-61)

"From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him" (John 6:66)

Jesus did feed "natural food" to all those people that day, but His intention was not to do "humanitarian work". His food was loaded with "spiritual dosage" which had the deliberate purpose of burning unrighteousness and yielding righteousness in their hearts and minds. When they persisted in their unrighteousness, Jesus proceeded to confront them with words He knew were unbearable to them. Instead of taking the opportunity to become even more popular and "beloved", He took the opportunity to get on their "bad side", risking even the loss of the disciples who had faithfully followed Him from before; this is why He asked the twelve, "Will you also leave?" (John 6:67).

Everyone loves you when you give them a piece of natural bread, but they will not always love you when you give them spiritual bread laden with apostolic righteousness and prophetic purpose. Mother Theresa became a "beloved" figure because she limited herself to providing natural bread, and she did it under the sincere conviction that this was what God wanted her to do. However, when mother Theresa limited God's work to the performing of natural acts, her works (many as they were) became useless to God.

The meaningless drop

Theresa limited the needs of man to two things: physical needs and the need for a small measure of spiritual religiosity. When she did so, her mind became impervious to the inherent "supernaturalism" of spiritual things, even when they are small.

Notice, for example, how Jesus fed 5,000 men with the 5 loaves and 2 fishes of a little kid:

"5When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he saith unto Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat? 6And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do. 7Philip answered him, Two hundred pennyworth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may take a little. 8One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, saith unto him, 9There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many?" (John 6:5-9)

Jesus did not say,

"Philip, you didn't understand me; you alone cannot feed this ocean of people, but you can contribute with your little 'drop'; Andrew and Simon Peter can then add their little 'drops'; others in the crowd who might have some extra food can add their respective 'drops' so that, before you know it, we might have a decent amount of food to give these people".

Instead, Jesus saw the potential of the little kid's 5 loaves and 2 fishes, and saw them as a fertile seed, instead of seeing them as a "sterile drop" in the ocean. Jesus never spoke of small things in terms of their limitation and their value when added to another multitude of small things. He always spoke of small things in terms of their potential for growth:

"30And he said, Whereunto shall we liken the kingdom of God? or with what comparison shall we compare it? 31It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that be in the earth: 32But when it is sown, it groweth up, and becometh greater than all herbs, and shooteth out great branches; so that the fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it." (Mark 4:30-32)

Therefore, Theresa's quote (mentioned above) about the drop in the ocean, which sounds so wise and noble at first, is really the confession of a heart with no spiritual vision. Material things are limited in their scope and power, but the things of the Spirit can transcend time and space. Material things are sterile and ephemeral, but the things of the Spirit are alive and eternal. When Theresa saw her work (and the work of others) as sterile drops in the ocean, the only thing she could say to herself was, "Well, at least it's one more drop". A drop cannot reproduce itself because it is not alive; a seed can because it has the life-potential inside of it.

When Theresa limited her view of life to the satisfaction of the material needs in others, she lost her "spiritual edge", and when she did that, the lasting, spiritual impact of her work was lost. Her work did not serve as a threat to the spiritual strongholds in India. It simply got her to be loved by all men. The name "David" literally means "beloved", so we can say that Theresa became a "David" unto men, but not a "David" unto God, for those whom God calls His "beloved" are those whose heart have a zeal to see His spiritual kingdom manifested on Earth:

"For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother." (Matthew 12:50)

"9After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11Give us this day our daily bread." (Matthew 6:9-11)

[Notice that the priority is on His will (v10) before our daily bread (v11). Notice also that this prayer speaks of a heart that leaves the primary burden of natural provision to God so that our hearts may be primarily concerned with His will. Obviously, this is not an excuse to ignore the natural needs of others, because doing so might be a reflection of a spiritual problem in our hearts. A heart who cares for the spiritual condition of his neighbor will also care for his natural needs, but always in the context of the neighbor's spiritual needs first.]

"33But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. 34Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof." (Matthew 6:33-34)

[Here, the Lord is revealing an important spiritual principle: when we take care of the spiritual issues, the natural issues will automatically take care of themselves. If we do not deal with the underlying spiritual roots, dealing instead with the natural manifestations only, these natural manifestations will continue to reappear. If you destroy the spiritual roots of a problem, the natural manifestations will eventually disappear.]

The meaningful seed

On Sunday December 19, 2004, a sister was sharing with me about a sermon she had recently heard. The sermon had been given by a very well-known Korean minister who had been invited to a church to speak about the importance of having visions and goals for your life. The sister who listened to a recording of the sermon shared with me how the minister spoke of how he had visualized a large congregation from the beginning and how he struggled until he finally achieved his dream. Now he has the largest congregation in the world, with over a million members.

As the sister shared the details of the sermon with me, my spirit was filled with anger and indignation. I asked the sister, "Did he ever speak about China? Did he ever speak of the need to break the spiritual forces that persecute God's people in China? Did he mention the need to break through the spiritual barriers in Japan? Did he speak about the need to break the spiritual strongholds in India or Indochina?" The sister answered, "No". I then said this to her, in the zeal of the Spirit,

"Can you imagine what would happen to Asia if a congregation of one million faithful believers were fervently praying, in singleness of spirit, for God's Glory to hit Japan, China, India, and all of Asia? If I had the attentive ears of one million Asian believers, I would be asking them to pray for God's judgments to come upon India and Indochina so that the spirits of idolatry and occultism would be broken and a great revival would break out. I have never been to Russia, but I can still remember how I cried with joy when I saw Donnie McClurkin sing 'Our God is an awesome God' in Russian during a Benny Hinn crusade in Moscow in 2003. My heart was filled with joy as I saw how God had destroyed the spiritual strongholds that had for years prevented any crowd of Russians from singing such a song in a public place. How can these ministers be so self-centered? With all the spiritual need around them, all they care for is having a larger congregation!!!"

Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks (Matthew 12:34), and it is obvious that this man had no burden for the countries around him. Once he fulfilled his vision of having a large congregation and of "blessing" his own country, his "visionary zeal" ended.

The reason why the Spirit reminded me of this conversation after I learned of what happened in south Asia is because of what He made me say about India when I was in the zeal of the Spirit (in red above). I was stunned, therefore, to see these words coming to life the next Sunday.

Fellow believer, you are a saint of the Lord, a servant of the Most High God. Your words are not insignificant little drops in a vast ocean. When you are in the Spirit, the words that you pronounce are seeds that germinate into powerful manifestations, both in the natural and in the spirit realm. Through your words, fellow believer, you can shake kingdoms and nations; you can make the sea roar and the earth tremble, for the God we serve is indeed an awesome God, and we are His servants and His sons; we are His chosen people.

The meaningless drops returned

After watching the news of the earthquake, I visualized the tsunami waves striking the Indian coast in my mind, and this is what the Lord said to me:

With each wave I am returning all the meaningless drops that have been poured into the Indian Ocean, for I am not pleased with those drops. I abhor the works of kindness that have been done in My Name, and I am making the Ocean vomit those works back at them. In a few hours, I undid all that Theresa and all of her followers did during their entire lives. In one second, I killed more Indians than she ever saved, for no one shall use My Name for vain purposes and get away with a false harvest. I sent you to transform the Indians, Theresa, but you went there to feed them in their old nature. I am returning your drops, for they are no good to Me.

Theresa must have thought that her dedicated humanitarian effort was a pleasant fragrance unto God. However, God has declared that such efforts of humanly-oriented mercy are an abomination to Him. This is the prophetic reason behind the unbearable stench of the rotting bodies.

Indian fishing judged

The tsunamis killed thousands of Indian fishermen and strongly affected India's fishing industry for years to come, according to Indian officials. Fishing is associated in Scripture with the evangelistic ministry:

"And so was also James, and John, the sons of Zebedee, which were partners with Simon. And Jesus said unto Simon, Fear not; from henceforth thou shalt catch men" (Luke 5:10)

[Peter, James, and John were fishermen by trade (Luke 5:1-11)]

India has been a prime target of missionaries and evangelists for years, and Theresa's humanitarian efforts were geared towards "evangelizing" India by making Christianity more palatable to the Hindus and Buddhists. In this disaster, God has pronounced judgment against all efforts to evangelize India through a humanitarian-oriented preaching of the Gospel. There are many spiritual roots behind India's poverty, and working against that poverty without attacking those roots is as futile as trying to catch all the water falling from the sky during a rainstorm with one bucket.

Somalia

While the tsunamis mostly hit Asian nations, God made sure that it also hit the African nation of Somalia. Why? Because, as you all may recall, Somalia was, in the late 1990s, the scene of major humanitarian efforts that resulted from famine and internal military conflict. Somalia was a country whose woes were caused by its un-treated roots of iniquity and selfishness. When God hit Somalia, He was once again declaring His judgments against man's humanitarian efforts that fail to recognize the element of personal and national accountability.

Purifying judgments

According to reports, the south Asia tsunamis hit 11 nations. As we have said before, the number "11" in Scripture is a figure of God's purifying judgments. Instead of following Theresa's strategy of human generosity that condones iniquity, God is using the strategy of purifying judgments to restore Asia.

The last major tsunami-causing earthquake that hit south Asia was in 1883, 121 years ago. The number 121 happens to be 11 times 11. This once again emphasizes the fact that He is restoring Asia through purifying judgments.

This was the strongest earthquake on earth since 1964, 40 years ago. The number "40" in Scripture is a number of "desert" and "spiritual fasting" (Jesus fasted for 40 days and 40 nights in the desert, and the people of Israel wandered in the desert for 40 years). The desert is the place where God takes us to try us and purify us (Deuteronomy 8:1-3).

Jackson Heights

At the top of this word, we mentioned how, on the night after the disaster, TV station WNBC ran a story about a Thai Buddhist temple in Jackson Heights, New York, which was praying for the Thai people. This was God's way of showing how "stubborn" the Buddhist roots are in south Asia. Despite this judgment by God, they were still clamoring to their false spiritual forces, expecting those forces to give them deliverance. Even the fact that the temple was in "Jackson Heights" has prophetic significance. The word "heights", when used in a negative sense, speaks of haughtiness and idolatry in Scripture, since the disobedient Israelites would perform their idolatrous rituals on hilltops:

"I have seen thine adulteries, and thy neighings, the lewdness of thy whoredom, and thine abominations on the hills in the fields. Woe unto thee, O Jerusalem! wilt thou not be made clean? when shall it once be?" (Jeremiah 13:27)

[Notice how the phrase "wilt thou not be made clean?" speaks of a stubborn refusal to change]

The name "Jackson" points to the prophetic ministry. Why? Because "Jack" is an informal version of the name "John", which means "Jehovah has graced", and, as we have said before, the prophetic ministry is the one most innately aware of its God-given grace. Most people who enter Buddhism are people with a strong prophetic calling who have "gone astray". They prophetically perceive the inherent purposelessness in man's pursuit of earthly things, but they are too stubborn and proud to accept God's righteous solution to this purposelessness, choosing instead to find their own iniquity-condoning solution. This is what Buddha (i.e.- "Jack") did, and this is what his followers (i.e.- "the Jack-sons") do as well.

You can pray all you want, "Jack", but all your praying up at the "heights" will do you no good. You better hit the road, proud and stubborn Jack, because God is coming against you, and there is nothing that you can do about it:

"23Truly in vain is salvation hoped for from the hills, and from the multitude of mountains: truly in the LORD our God is the salvation of Israel. 24For shame hath devoured the labour of our fathers from our youth; their flocks and their herds, their sons and their daughters. 25We lie down in our shame, and our confusion covereth us: for we have sinned against the LORD our God, we and our fathers, from our youth even unto this day, and have not obeyed the voice of the LORD our God." (Jeremiah 3:23-25)

Muslim nation

Indonesia, the epicenter country, happens to be the largest Muslim nation (population-wise) in the world. The reason why God chose Indonesia as the launching pad for the tsunamis that hit India, Thailand, and even Somalia has spiritual significance. Just like Buddhism, the Muslim religion was founded by a prophet "gone bad" (Mohammed). God was therefore declaring that the judgment that countries like India and Thailand were receiving was a result of the purposeless religions that they practice which were spawned by men with prophetic callings, like Buddha and Mohammed, who strayed from God's initial purposes for them and whose religions are now leading many others astray.

Sweden

As we said above, a major U.N. humanitarian-aid official, a Norwegian, accused the U.S. of being "stingy" in its relief efforts in south Asia. At the time of this writing, the official has apparently backed down from his remarks and claims that he was "misunderstood", saying that he was referring to Western Europe and to relief efforts in general; his initial statements, however, do clearly accuse the U.S. of being stingy and refer specifically to the south Asia earthquake. What could motivate a person to say something like this?

Around the end of last year, the Lord began speaking to my heart concerning Sweden. To be honest with you, I had a hard time discerning what the Lord was trying to say to me, but, as the months went by, I began to understand the following: Scandinavian nations have a strong spirit of generosity and kindness. This explains their strong tendencies towards socialistic economies where the government acts like a grandfatherly figure that takes care of everyone. This emphasis on kindness has led to a naïve view of the world that attributes no responsibility for one's actions, and where one's misfortune is always the result of someone else's negligence.

In the tsunamis, many Danish and Swedish were killed, and 1,500 Swedish are still missing. God did this as a prophetic figure of His judgment against the spirit that emphasizes "human generosity" and downplays human responsibility. The spirit of "human generosity" is a spirit with Canaanite undertones. Therefore, it is very resentful of judgments, and is the subconscious spiritual reason which prompted the Norwegian U.N. official to unfairly label the U.S. as "stingy".

The xmas season is known as the "time of giving", a time where people are pressured into the giving of external things. Those who refuse to participate in all this "giving" are labeled as "scrooges". As we said above, the south Asia earthquake was a continuation of God's judgment against xmas, which is part of a larger judgment against the "drops" of human generosity by people like mother Theresa and others. Any attack against the spirit of humanly-oriented generosity will always prompt unfair accusations of stinginess and cold-heartedness.

The fact that a young 2-year old mosquito-bitten Swedish boy miraculously survived and was returned with his family is a prophetic figure of restoration for Scandinavian countries. There is a basic goodness in Nordic people which satan has unfortunately perverted, but, in the latter days, God will visit the Nordic people in a mighty way. He will redirect their generous nature so that it will be aligned with His righteousness and kingdom.

You have been acting like a naïve little child --- says the Lord --- like a child who fails to discern the roots of evil in other people. I shall purify you through judgment --- says the Lord. I will expose your people to the mosquito bites of the invisible evil spirits you fail to recognize, and I will restore you --- says the Lord.

Who are My little ones?

Theresa was famous for emphasizing the passage where Jesus says that whosoever feeds one of His little ones is feeding Him (Matthew 25:31-46). However, her literal interpretation of this passage fails to address the question, "Who exactly are His little ones?". In the south Asia tragedy, a great number (if not a majority) of the victims were children. Why? Because God was counter-emphasizing that those were not the "little ones" He was referring to.

Jesus' little ones are not necessarily those who are short in physical size. Jesus' "little ones" are those who behave like an obedient and submissive little child unto God. They are those who are not interested in human greatness and glory and who are only interested in obeying Papa God. A "little one" is also a person who does not have recognizable human greatness, i.e.- a person whose value is hidden to the natural eye. Jesus Himself was a "little one" because His value was invisible to the religious leaders of His day, who constantly questioned His authority (John 5:31-47, John 7:45-52, Luke 20:1-8). Because of their submissiveness, the true "little ones" find grace in the eyes of the Father, and are used to shake the nations of the Earth. His little ones are surely not insignificant drops in the ocean.

Power

The number "9" appears repeatedly throughout this disaster: the earthquake was of magnitude 9.0, and there were 9 major aftershocks. The earthquake came 3 days after an 8.1-magnitude quake between Australia and Antarctica, and 8.1 is 9 times 0.9. As we have said before, the number "9" is associated in Scripture with dynamis "power". Man uses power and grace to further earthly blessings, but God uses power to further righteousness and prophetic purpose.

This earthquake released the power of 1,000,000 atomic bombs. It was power that was "brewing" and concentrating underneath the earth's surface until it finally broke out. As we said in a previous word (which was "coincidentally" posted on the day that the 8.1-magnitude earthquake occurred), a foundation of logos righteousness allows for a release of supernatural dynamis power at a level that is impossible when a foundation of sand (i.e.- earthly blessings) is used. God's power emanates from His righteous nature. It's no wonder it's so devastating!!!

Fellow believer, when you operate on a foundation of righteousness and judgments, you can become a channel of God's dynamis power which will come against the works wrought through the dynamis power of earthly blessings and utterly destroy them.

From the south

Surviving witnesses declare that the tsunamis came "out of nowhere", without any warning. The tsunamis suddenly hit from the south.

"3God came from Teman, and the Holy One from mount Paran. Selah. His glory covered the heavens, and the earth was full of his praise. 4And his brightness was as the light; he had horns coming out of his hand: and there was the hiding of his power. 5Before him went the pestilence, and burning coals went forth at his feet. 6He stood, and measured the earth: he beheld, and drove asunder the nations; and the everlasting mountains were scattered, the perpetual hills did bow: his ways are everlasting. 7I saw the tents of Cushan in affliction: and the curtains of the land of Midian did tremble." (Habakkuk 3:3-7)

The word "Teman" in verse 3 above literally means "South". The south in Scripture is associated with weakness and frailty while the north is generally associated with grace and strength. In the latter days, Jesus will make His parousia ("appearance") through a prophetic remnant that is largely ignored by the Church's current religious structures. Like the King who entered Jerusalem on a donkey, instead of flying down on a winged horse, a prophetic remnant is coming out of nowhere to shake the spiritual structures of the Earth and to establish the Lord's supremacy over the spiritual atmosphere of the Earth.

This is why God caused the 8.1-magnitude earthquake that struck the deep ocean floor between Australia and Antarctica. The name "Australia" comes from the word "austral" meaning "southern" and the name "Antarctica" refers to the Earth's South Pole and surrounding land mass.

The fact that the 8.1-magnitude quake happened 3 days before the 9.0-magnitude quake points to the 3 days that Jonah spent inside the "Sheol" of the fish's belly (Jonah 2:1-10). Jonah was being prepared for 3 days and 3 nights inside Sheol, hidden from the natural sight of man, just as the 9.0-magnitude quake was being prepared in the depths of the Earth, without anyone being aware of it. The 8.1-magnitude quake received no publicity because it happened in the southernmost parts of the Earth and caused no major damage. However, it was the prelude of what was to happen 3 days later.

"29And when the people were gathered thick together, he began to say, This is an evil generation: they seek a sign; and there shall no sign be given it, but the sign of Jonas the prophet. 30For as Jonas was a sign unto the Ninevites, so shall also the Son of man be to this generation. 31The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation, and condemn them: for she came from the utmost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here." (Luke 11:29-31)

Shorter days

Scientists believe that the earth's 24-hour rotation was shortened by about 3 microseconds as a result of the Sumatra earthquake, meaning that our days are now shorter. Obviously, a loss of 3 microseconds every day will not be "noticeable", but it acts as a prophetic figure of what the Lord Jesus said about the latter days:

"And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened" (Matthew 24:22)

There is an important spiritual meaning to the shortening of the days, but we will discuss that in a future article.

Breakout

During the hours prior to typing the "Xmas under judgment" word on Saturday December 25th, 2004 (while the Sumatra earthquake was "brewing" underneath the Earth), the Lord had me struggling (and I do mean, struggling) to understand the spiritual meaning of the "earthquakes" mentioned in Matthew 24:7. In a future article, we will share what the Lord spoke to our hearts concerning "earthquakes" and how they relate to the 4th horse of the Apocalypse. In essence, we learned that earthquakes are "prison openers". They release those who have been sent to spiritual prisons because of their prophetic defiance of earthly structures. Therefore, it was interesting that the tsunami that hit Sri Lanka allowed around 200 prisoners to break out of prison.

The prophetic remnant is being untied, like the colt of an ass was untied before it was ridden by the Lord to enter Jerusalem (Matthew 21:1-11). God is releasing the prophetic remnant from its spiritual prison (just as He did with Joseph) and He shall shake the nations of the Earth through it.
