Prophetic word for today

The Dorothy breakout

The Lord gave me this vision 12-15-04 during our Praise and Worship Service:

I had seen a scene from the movie "The Wiz." Toward the end of the movie, Dorothy and the others were being held captive by the evil witch. Just when they thought the end was near, they figured out a way to destroy the evil witch. The witch had many people working for her who looked to be under her "spell." They were ugly creatures who were slaves. When the witch was destroyed (utterly destroyed) the entire place began to change. Before, it was black, dark, sweaty, gloomy and dirty. All of a sudden the dirt began to blow away and the sun began to appear. The slaves began to unzip these ugly monster shells that they were in, and beautiful people were inside. They stepped out of these pod-like shells, and when they walked away from the shells, the shells burst into flames. The slaves began to sing and dance because of the freedom that was given to them. The song was "Can't you feel a brand new day."

I had seen this movie when I was a child. That particular scene has always made me cry with joy. Then, in service, I see the entire scene and I began to cry again. It was a good thing.

Our comments

According to a name-origin site, the name "Dorothy" is a variation of the name "Dorothea", which is the combination of the Greek words doron, meaning "gift", and theos, meaning "God"; in other words, "Dorothy" means "gift of God". There are 4 verses in the New Testament where both the Greek words doron and theos appear (Luke 21:4, Ephesians 2:8, Hebrews 5:1, and Hebrews 11:4). Here is one of those verses:

"8For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them." (Ephesians 2:8-10)

Notice how this passage emphasizes the fact that all believers have been saved by the grace of God through faith, and that we are all His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for the fulfillment of a God-given prophetic purpose. The "Dorothy" of the vision, therefore, represents those believers who are aware of their grace before God, and who understand that that grace is not derived from a "hierarchical" position in their local church or by the performing of "religious actions", which, in God's eyes amount to nothing but earthly works of no eternal value. The Church, however, is currently full of believers who have been indoctrinated into thinking that the only one ordained by God to do "spiritual work" is the "pastor" or an "ordained minister", without understanding that all of us have important spiritual work ordained to us by God Himself (Ephesians 2:10), and that that spiritual ordainment comes from no man or institution.

Believers throughout the Body have relinquished their prophetic calling, and have been fooled into believing that their "spiritual work" amounts to going to church, performing "menial chores" like sweeping the church floor or guarding the cars at the church parking lot, while at the same time remaining fully compliant and submissive to all their "church superiors". Fellow believer, there is nothing inherently wrong with sweeping the church floor or guarding the cars at the parking lot, especially if you do it in the full realization that you are serving your valuable brothers and sisters in Christ, instead of seeing it as a service to the pastor or to the church authorities, who in God's eyes are your co-laborers in serving the brethren (Revelation 19:10).

However, your calling in life goes beyond keeping the church floor clean or making sure that no one's car gets stolen. All of us are kings and priests (Revelation 1:6, Isaiah 61:6), and we are all called to fulfill a mighty prophetic calling. We are called to be spiritual warriors who take back the spiritual atmosphere of the Earth unto God (Ephesians 1:22-23, Ephesians 3:10-12). Fellow believer, you have the calling to tear down spiritual giants in the heavenlies (Matthew 17:20, Luke 17:6) and to manifest God's Glory on Earth (2 Corinthians 3:18, Romans 8:29-30, 1 John 3:2).

"9But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: 10Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy." (1 Peter 2:9-10)

As we shared in a recent article, the spirit of Cain inside the Church promotes religious hierarchy and respect for religious "seniority", both in terms of "age" and "ranking". Cain always tell his little brother Abel to shut up and do things the way Cain does them. Cain hates it when little brother Abel receives revelations from God that defy Cain's practices, and he hates it even more when Abel's revelations prove to be of God.

Cain had begun the practice of sacrificing fruits of the ground unto God, but Abel the younger understood that God wanted blood sacrifice. Instead of conforming to big brother Cain's sacrifice methodology, Abel did the sacrifices that God had instructed him to do. Abel knew that our actions cannot be justified in terms of "seniority" or "tradition"; they can only be justified if they are aligned with God's will:

"By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh." (Hebrews 11:4)

[This is one of the verses where doron ("gift") and theos ("God") appear together]

Notice that both Hebrews 11:4 and Ephesians 2:8 (quoted above) include the word "faith" along with doron and theos. The latter-day Dorothys understand that the anointing that shakes the foundations of the Earth rests on those who have faith, which implies a simple disposition of our hearts to do His will and carry out His purposes. If you are a Dorothy, you will confidently lift your eyes towards heaven and be aware that God is smiling on you and that He sees you as important and value. If you are a Dorothy, you will understand that all you need in order to evoke a smile from God is a heart that is willing to obey Him, not a church title, not a pastoral ordainment, not 15 years of church and community service.

Just as Cain hated Abel and worked to silence him, the "wicked witch of the west" has worked to silence Dorothy's prophetic word. Just as little brother Joseph was sold into slavery by his older brothers, the wicked witch of the west has held Dorothy captive. Just as Ahab, king of Israel, relegated the prophet Micaiah to prison and to limited food and water (2 Chronicles 18:25-26) for questioning the king's wishes, the "wicked witch of the west" has accused the modern-day Dorothys of "high treason" for questioning her Girgashite methodologies and for not fully submitting to human authority. "How dare little Dorothy question me?", the wicked witch asks, "Is Dorothy a full-time minister? Has she been in the 'ministering business' for 25 years like me? Who does she think she is?".

When Yeshua died on the cross, the Old Covenant veil was torn (Matthew 27:51); the separation between "priests" and "laymen" was terminated, allowing all believers direct access to the Holy of Holies, as long as they approach it with a heart that longs after His righteousness:

"19Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, 20By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; 21And having an high priest over the house of God; 22Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. 23Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) 24And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:" (Hebrews 10:19-24)

Notice that this passage once again speaks of "faith" and "good works", just like Ephesians 2:8-10 quoted above. Notice also that verse 24 speaks of all of us working to edify one another. We are all spiritual laborers, and the value of our labor is not determined by a "pastoral title" or ordainment.

The spirit of Cain has worked to suppress the spiritual boldness and authority of believers. As we have said before, boldness is closely related in Scripture to the prophetic anointing. Cain makes every effort possible to destroy the prophetic boldness of Abel; he works to destroy the "assurance of faith" in his truth-centered heart (Hebrews 10:22) in an effort to turn Abel into a cowardly lion that lacks the boldness and bravery to confront human structures and paradigms. The latter-day Dorothys, however, are coming to restore the prophetic boldness of believers throughout the Church. The cowardly lions will disappear, and a bold, prophetic nation of mighty believers will emerge.

The "spell" that sister Mona speaks of in her narration of the vision refers to the indoctrination that the "wicked witch" has given to God's people where submission to God is equivalent to submission to her. The wicked witch continues preaching the doctrine of the Old Covenant and refuses to teach the fact that the "year of jubilee" has already been proclaimed. No believer is to hold any other believer as a "slave" or a "spiritual inferior" anymore (Jeremiah 34:15-16), but the wicked witch prefers to hold fellow believers under her spell. The latter-day Dorothys, however, are coming to break the spell in the anointing of the Lord and to set God's people free. As we have said before, Amorite kings need a Girgashite ground-swell of support in order to maintain their power. This is why sister Mona speaks of the "dirt being blown away". The dirt speaks of the Girgashite spirit of earthliness, and, once the Girgashite ground base of support is eroded, the Amorites' kingdoms quickly tumble to the ground. All your Amorite strength (Amos 2:10) and Girgashite labor are for naught, oh wicked witch, for the Lord is coming to blow you away:

"10The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away. 11Who knoweth the power of thine anger? even according to thy fear, so is thy wrath." (Psalm 90:10-11)

"14Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. 15For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that. 16But now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil. 17Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin." (James 4:14-17)

[The "rejoicing in your boastings" of verse 16 refers to the boastings over fleshly works that Ephesians 2:8-10 refers to. Those who abide under the Old Covenant of "hierarchical submission" and the gaining of acceptance by following Cain's methodologies are performing "works in the flesh" in God's eyes, and their joy will turn to disappointment the day they face the Lord and realize that He abhorred their unconditional submission to man. It is not by working "within the system" that we are accepted by God; it is by having a faith-filled heart that longs to carry out His will and purposes on Earth. Verse 17 is a warning to the Church's "leaders" and correlates with John 9:41.]

"4Man is like to vanity: his days are as a shadow that passeth away. 5Bow thy heavens, O LORD, and come down: touch the mountains, and they shall smoke. 6Cast forth lightning, and scatter them: shoot out thine arrows, and destroy them. 7Send thine hand from above; rid me, and deliver me out of great waters, from the hand of strange children; 8Whose mouth speaketh vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood." (Psalm 144:4-8)

The "pod-like shells" referred to in the vision speak of a "vegetable covering" and point to the covering of Cain's religious structures, since Cain offered God "fruits of the ground" (Genesis 4:3), which means that his sacrifices included vegetables. The Church's religious structures have hidden away the believers' prophetic potential, and have turned them into "ugly monsters". Cain has worked to prevent the prophetic grace and beauty of believers from being manifested.

As we have said before, the Lord is sending the red horse of pestilence against the spirit of Cain. The red horse will come in the form of "pestilent" little Dorothys who will "take away the peace" (Revelation 6:3) in the wicked witch's earthly kingdom. These Dorothys will come to challenge the spirit that has drained the Church's lions from their prophetic boldness.

In the same way, the latter-day Dorothys will come against the spirit of Balaam that has worked to pervert God's grace by depriving it of its eternal value and reducing it to a mere gateway for the acquisition of earthly things. The spirit of Balaam evokes the lusts of the flesh in believers, enticing them into following their emotions without the foundation of a sober, judgment-making mind. The spirit of Balaam turns believers into "mindless" scarecrows who stuff themselves with temporary straw that will eventually be burned away:

"Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and will gather the wheat into his garner; but the chaff he will burn with fire unquenchable" (Luke 3:17)

"12Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; 13Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is. 14If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 15If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire." (1 Corinthians 3:12-15)

Through the latter-day Dorothys, God will send out the black horse against the spirit of Balaam (Revelation 6:5-6). The black horse will bring judgment against the straw (i.e.- the "wheat" and the "barley") and will force believers to go after the eternal "oil and wine" grace that is based on an apostolic and sober, judgment-making mind. The mindless scarecrows shall be mindless no more.

The latter-day Dorothys will also come against the spirit of Korah (Numbers 16:1-50). As we will share in our next article, the spirit of Korah has worked to establish a matriarchal domination of the soul over the spirit inside the Church; this matriarchal domination has been established at a very heavy price: by handing the control of the Earth's spiritual atmosphere over to satan (cursed be him). This has led to a Church full of believers devoid of the evangelistic, giant-killing, spiritual -conqueror anointing. The evangelistic ministry anointing imparts a strong-willed heart that fails to surrender until total victory is achieved. Since the Church has surrendered control of the spiritual atmosphere to satan (as a result of the spirit of Korah), the Church has become a conglomerate of "tin men" with no heart.

Through the latter-day Dorothys, God will send out the "pale" horse (or "green" horse, as it says in the original Greek -- Revelation 6:7-8) against the spirit of Korah. The earth will open up and let out the prophetic remnant that has been imprisoned in Sheol for centuries by the "wicked witch of the west". Just as Jonah came out of the fish's belly (Jonah 2:1-10), the prophetic remnant will break out of the spiritual Sheol prison it has been exiled to, and, when it does, Korah and its people will be sent into Sheol. In a sense, a "spiritual switch" will be made. Korah will be sent to Sheol as the remnant comes out of it:

"31And it came to pass, as he had made an end of speaking all these words, that the ground clave asunder that was under them: 32And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their houses, and all the men that appertained unto Korah, and all their goods. 33They, and all that appertained to them, went down alive into the pit, and the earth closed upon them: and they perished from among the congregation." (Numbers 16:31-33)

[The word "pit" in verse 33 was translated from the Hebrew word "Sheol"]

"28There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out. 29And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God. 30And, behold, there are last which shall be first, and there are first which shall be last." (Luke 13:28-30)

As the spirit of Korah is destroyed, the "tin men" in the Church shall be "heartless" no more, and the Church will finally wrest the grip of the spiritual atmosphere of the Church and the Earth from satan's hands. That will surely be the start of "a brand new day", as the song in the vision declares:

"1For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. 2But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall. 3And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts." (Malachi 4:1-3)

As this new day dawns, verse 2 above declares that the "Sun of Righteousness" will appear (notice that it does not say the "Sun of Blessings" or the "Sun of Happiness"). This is why sister Mona speaks of the "sun appearing" after the dirt is blown away. The wicked witch of the west has established her dominion far away from the east. Why? Because the east is where the Sun of God's Glory rises, and when His Glory is manifested, the weight of His righteousness and eternity bears down on all sin and earthliness, and God's dominion is established:

"16And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength. 17And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last" (Revelation 1:16-17)

"For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ." (2 Corinthians 4:6)

"For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory" (2 Corinthians 4:17)

"10That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; 11Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;" (Colossians 1:10-11)

[Notice the reference to "good work", which points back to what we shared on Ephesians 2:8-10 above]

The phrase "His glorious power" in verse 11 above was translated from the Greek words kratos (meaning "dominion") and doxa (meaning "glory"); therefore, the phrase "His glorious power" should really say "the dominion of His Glory". In other words, God's Glory automatically establishes His dominion when It is manifested. This is why the wicked witch prefers to "set up shop" in the west, far away from where the Sun of His Glorious Righteousness rises. Despite this, the wicked witch's dominion inside the Church will soon end, and God's purposes shall be fulfilled in His people (Isaiah 59:19).

Sister Mona had this vision on December 15, 2004. This was day #350 of the year 2004. The number 350 equals 7 times 50. The number "7" speaks of the "seventh day" or "Sabbath" and therefore speaks of "resting in the Spirit" (Genesis 2:2-3). The number "50" speaks of "Pentecost" and the "outpouring of the Spirit", since Pentecost was celebrated 50 days after Passover:

"Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the LORD." (Leviticus 23:16)

"1And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. 3And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. 4And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance." (Acts 2:1-4)

Therefore, the number 350 (50 times 7) speaks of the latter-rain outpouring of the Holy Spirit over the Church and the possession of our spiritual inheritance as we rest from earthly, Cain-like works and begin to move in the true anointing of the Spirit of God:

"3For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. 4For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works. 5And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest. 6Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief: 7Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts. 8For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. 9There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. 10For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. 11Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. 12For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." (Hebrews 4:3-12)

Fellow believer, we long and groan for that "certain day" that verse 7 above refers to, and it is about to be manifested!

"1Woe to her that is filthy and polluted, to the oppressing city! 2She obeyed not the voice; she received not correction; she trusted not in the LORD; she drew not near to her God. 3Her princes within her are roaring lions; her judges are evening wolves; they gnaw not the bones till the morrow. 4Her prophets are light and treacherous persons: her priests have polluted the sanctuary, they have done violence to the law." (Zephaniah 3:1-4)

[This is the "before" shot of the Church while the wicked witch still rules]

"14Sing, O daughter of Zion; shout, O Israel; be glad and rejoice with all the heart, O daughter of Jerusalem. 15The LORD hath taken away thy judgments, he hath cast out thine enemy: the king of Israel, even the LORD, is in the midst of thee: thou shalt not see evil any more. 16In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem, Fear thou not: and to Zion, Let not thine hands be slack. 17The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing. 18I will gather them that are sorrowful for the solemn assembly, who are of thee, to whom the reproach of it was a burden. 19Behold, at that time I will undo all that afflict thee: and I will save her that halteth, and gather her that was driven out; and I will get them praise and fame in every land where they have been put to shame. 20At that time will I bring you again, even in the time that I gather you: for I will make you a name and a praise among all people of the earth, when I turn back your captivity before your eyes, saith the LORD." (Zephaniah 3:14-20)

[This is the "after" shot of the Church after God's judgments (Zephaniah 3:5) have purified the Church and utterly destroyed the wicked witch. How I long to see these days!!!]
