Yesterday (Nov 18), married couples in Chile were finally allowed to divorce. Chilean President Ricardo Lagos had earlier signed a new law that ended the ban on divorces in Chile. Chile had until yesterday been the last Western nation where divorce was still prohibited.

Today (Nov 19), U.S. President George W. Bush left for Santiago, Chile, to participate in the APEC (Asian-Pacific Economic) Summit. In Santiago, there have been violent protests condemning the USA's involvement in Iraq and condemning Bush's visit to Chile; the protests have included the "traditional" burning of the American flag, among other things.

Fox News Channel reported that, in the midst of this turmoil, the President of China, who is also attending the APEC Summit, was received by the Chilean government with full diplomatic honors.

This is the prophetic interpretation:

In a previous article, we shared that the prophetic calling for Latin America (as a region) was cast away on June 29, 2003. In a sense, God officially "divorced" Latin America on that day and left her to frolic in the muck and mire of her blessings-oriented "gospel":

"⁶The LORD said also unto me in the days of Josiah the king, Hast thou seen that which backsliding Israel hath done? she is gone up upon every high mountain and under every green tree, and there hath played the harlot. ⁷And I said after she had done all these things, Turn thou unto me. But she returned not. And her treacherous sister Judah saw it. ⁸And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also. ⁹And it came to pass through the lightness of her whoredom, that she defiled the land, and committed adultery with stones and with stocks." (Jeremiah 3:6-9)

Between June 29, 2003 and November 17, 2004 (the last day of the Chilean ban on divorce), 507 days went by. 507 is equal to 13 times 13 times 3. The number "13" is generally associated in Scripture with "rebellion". As we have shared in previous articles, there is "good" rebellion and there is "bad" rebellion; a rebellion is "good" when it is a God-inspired spiritual rebellion against human structures, as in the case of Jehu, the man who killed Ahab's family (2 Kings 9:1-10:28); a rebellion is "bad" when it is man ganging up against God's spiritual purposes, as in the Tower of Babel (Genesis 11:1-9).

The fact that 507 equals "13 times 13 times 3" speaks of "double rebellion", which the book of Jeremiah relates to bad rebellion:

"Go up against the land of Merathaim, even against it, and against the inhabitants of Pekod: waste and utterly destroy after them, saith the LORD, and do according to all that I have commanded thee" (Jeremiah 50:21)

The name "Merathaim" that appears above literally means "double rebellion" and "Pekod" means "visitation". This means that the number 507 refers to God's judgment against Latin America for committing double rebellion against Him (rebellion by the teachers and the pastors). Latin America has considered her Pentecostal, spiritual experiences as proof of God's visitation and acceptance, prompting her to call herself "Pekod", the land of visitation. However, she has failed to realize that God's true visitations always come with judgment and purification:

"Therefore now go, lead the people unto the place of which I have spoken unto thee: behold, mine Angel shall go before thee: nevertheless in the day when I visit I will visit their sin upon them" (Exodus 32:34)

Therefore, the fact that Chile unknowingly waited 507 days since the date of God's divorce with Latin America (June 29, 2003) before officially ending the ban on divorce on November 18, 2004 is God's prophetic way of declaring why He divorced Latin America: she committed double rebellion against Him, and angered Him by claiming that her spiritual experiences were proof of God's visitation. When man fell, he rebelled against God once; when man deliberately and willfully rebels against God after having been saved from his first rebellion, he commits "double rebellion", and there is no future spiritual restoration available after "double rebellion" has been committed:

"⁴For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, ⁵And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, ⁶If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. ⁷For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God: ⁸But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned." (Hebrews 6:4-8)

The fact that the Chilean President's name is Ricardo Lagos also has prophetic significance. "Ricardo" is Spanish for "Richard", which literally means, "brave power" or "brave rule", and was the name of 3 English kings. Therefore, we can safely say that the name "Richard" is associated with "kingship". When we studied the 7 evil spirits, we saw that the Amorites were the spirits of "earthly kings" who seek to glorify themselves by establishing earthly kingdoms that defy God's kingship. Therefore, when taken in a negative context, the name "Richard" can be associated with Amorite spirits.

The last name "Lagos" is Spanish for "lakes", which speaks of waters that were once flowing and have reached a point of "motionlessness". Therefore, we can say that God placed a President in Chile named "Ricardo Lagos" during these days to indicate that God divorced Latin America because the Gospel there was taken over by Amorite religious leaders who stopped the flow of the prophetic spirit, choosing instead to wallow in Girgashite stagnation and self-satisfaction. As we have said before, God has declared that Latin America will become one of the latter-day swamps that was prophesied in Ezekiel 47:11.

The fact that Chileans are protesting so fiercely against George W. Bush and the war in Iraq is another prophetic figure of why God divorced Latin America. Of all the people in the world, Latin Americans should be the first to identify themselves with people who have lived under the oppressive boot of a dictator for decades. The Iraqi people had been forced to live under the ruthless and oppressive regime of dictator Saddam Hussein for 24 years before the U.S.-led coalition liberated that land. However, Chileans, just like most of Latin America, have chosen to hate the U.S. for having liberated Iraq. Where were the Chilean protestors when Saddam Hussein was launching chemical weapons at his own people? Where were the Chilean protestors when Saddam Hussein burned the oil fields of Kuwait, causing terrible health hazards? Where were the Chilean protestors when Hussein launched missiles against Israeli civilians during the first Gulf War?

It is only befitting that Chileans have chosen to "welcome" Bush so rudely while at the same time they welcomed the President of China with full diplomatic honors. Where were the Chilean protestors when the Tian-An-Men massacre took place? Why don't the Chilean protestors burn Chinese flags in protest for the thousands and thousands of Chinese babies who have been massacred through China's brutal abortion laws? Why don't these fools protest against the religious persecution that has gone on in China for decades and continues even to this day? Where were the Chilean fools during Mao's brutal "cultural revolution"? Cursed be the men and women who are not moved by a sense of righteous indignation but rather by a spirit of envy and futile resentment!!! Cursed be those who defend the unrighteous and condemn the righteous; the Lord God is against you, and He shall cast you down and cut you asunder:

"How is the hammer of the whole earth cut asunder and broken! how is Babylon become a desolation among the nations! I have laid a snare for thee, and thou art also taken, O Babylon, and thou wast not aware: thou art found, and also caught, because thou hast striven against the LORD." (Jeremiah 50:23-24)

Rejoice, all you workers of iniquity! Rejoice in the muck and mire of your temporal blessings and self-satisfaction, for the Lord has prepared a Trojan horse against you. You shall fall in the snare of your own greed, in the trap of your own deceit, for the hole which you have prepared for the remnant shall be the hole where you yourselves shall fall, for God has decreed that no nation that stands against Him shall prevail, for He is Lord of Lords and King of Kings, and His Righteousness and Purposes shall prevail against all workers of iniquity and against all the upholders of human structures!!

To this day, Chilean dictator Augusto Pinochet has not been tried for the crimes committed during his dictatorial regime. The old and decrepit dictator has been hiding behind his supposed "illness" in order to escape the hands of justice, and the Chilean people have allowed this to happen. God shall judge Latin America for its constant reluctance to do justice and judgments. God shall judge Latin America for defending her Amorites!!! Cursed be the Latin American Amorites!!! Cursed be the strong men of Latin America and cursed be those who support them and defend them from God's judgments!!!

The name of Chile's capital is "Santiago", which is the Spanish version of the name "James". Of all the books in the New Testament, the book that most directly addresses the Girgashites is the book of "James". In fact, I have believed for some time that the book of James could very easily have been called "the letter to the Girgashites". Besides the pig, the animal that most closely represents the Girgashite spirit of earthliness is the "serpent", since serpents are literally attached to the earth. As you all know, the "dragon" is China's "symbolic animal", and, since the Chinese dragon is a serpent with short feet, we can infer that there is a strong Girgashite influence in China (and in most Far Eastern nations). Therefore, it is not surprising that the people of Santiago (i.e.- "James") would so warmly welcome the Girgashite President of China and be so rude towards prophetic George W. Bush (as we have said before, we believe that George W. Bush has a strong prophetic impartation on his life). Girgashites hate prophets; they love to kill those who challenge them to a higher calling in life; many Latin Americans dislike the U.S. because the USA's success is a constant reminder of all the things they were unable to accomplish. The dislike for the U.S. is even strong among many evangelical Christians in Latin America, despite the fact that the Gospel was spread throughout Latin America by American missionaries who forsook the comforts of home in order to preach to a people who would later turn around and use the same Gospel that was preached to them by Americans to boast of their "moral superiority" over a "decadent" and "self-centered" U.S. nation.

It's no wonder, therefore, that God divorced the region of Latin America.
