As you may have noticed, the last 2 postings have been on the South American countries of Brazil and Argentina, as the Lord has had me thinking about those 2 nations. A few days ago, this question began to surface in my mind: "Lord, what about Uruguay?". As we have shared before, the 3 countries in the Latin American region whose prophetic callings remain alive are Brazil, Argentina, and Uruguay. Yet, as the Lord had directed my attention towards news events from Brazil and Argentina, I had heard absolutely nothing about Uruguay. In a sense, it was as if God was waiting for me to ask about Uruguay. He had presented the first 2 nations before me, but I would not get understanding on the 3rd nation unless I proactively asked.

As I sat in front of the computer and wondered about Uruguay, I felt a sudden urge to look up news from Uruguay. This is when I came across a story I had not heard about. As indicated on various postings on the Internet, including an AP story posted on Yahoo! News, 18-year-old Uruguayan model Eliana Ramos died on February 13, 2007; she was found dead at her grandparents' home in Montevideo (Uruguay's capital), and the cause of her death was found to be heart failure. This sad incident was made even more newsworthy by the fact that Eliana's sister, Luisel Ramos died on August 2, 2006 (6 and a half months earlier). Luisel, who was also a model, died in dramatic fashion at age 22 shortly after stepping off a catwalk during a fashion show in Montevideo, the same city where Eliana died. Ironically enough, Eliana was about to model at the same show when her sister died; it was the first time both sisters would model together. The cause of Luisel's death was also heart failure.

Since both sisters were models, each of their deaths was followed by speculation that they had died due to eating disorders, and various postings on the Internet explicitly declared (or implicitly insinuated) that this was the case. As I meditated on their deaths, however, I felt uneasy about accepting this verdict. The Lord then prompted me to look up photos of both models on the Internet, and, as I looked at photos of both taken near the times of their deaths, there was no visible sign of them being "sickeningly thin". Both were thinner than they should have been, but neither their faces nor their bodies reflected signs of people gripped by the wicked anorexia spirit (at least in most of their pictures posted on the Internet). Even though several websites stated that Luisel Ramos had been living on a totally unhealthy diet during 3 months, none of the sites I found named a verifiable source; all said, "It is said that ..."; this means that these claims had no solid evidence to support them. Other websites also stated that Luis Ramos, the father of both, had confessed that Luisel had been eating very poorly before her death; again, no verifiable sources are sited, and these claims start with the phrase "It is reported that ...", which makes these claims unfounded (at least evidence-wise) as well.

{There is a Spanish-language website from South America that posted a report (dated February 15, 2007) on Eliana's autopsy. According to this news report, the "Forensic Technical Institute", which performed the autopsy, determined that Eliana did not suffer from anorexia or bulimia; according to their findings, the cause of Eliana's death was a fulminating heart attack that occurred whilst she slept. This news report adds that, after the death of Luisel, medical tests were performed on Eliana, which turned up nothing "anomalous", since the "congenital cardiopathy" that both sisters suffered from can only be detected via a genetic analysis. If you have a good Spanish-to-English translator, you may be able to read through the report.}

I then began to ask the Lord, "Why, then, did these young sisters die within such a short span of time? What do their deaths mean? What do their deaths say about Uruguay in the spirit realm?". As I prayed to the Lord about this, all of a sudden, I began to perceive the phrase "2 witnesses". I then began to understand that, just as the 2 witnesses of Revelation 11 were called to die at the hands of the beast, these 2 models had been called to die at the hands of "heart issues". I then began to ask the Lord, "What evidence is there to support the spiritual linkage between the deaths of these 2 models and the green-horse death of the 2 witnesses?". I struggled with this question for a day or two. Then, all of a sudden, the Lord began to reveal a barrage of facts that stunned me and made me understand how connected these 2 deaths were to the death in the spirit realm of God's 2 witnesses.

According to behindthename.com, the younger sister's name "Eliana" is the Italian and Spanish form of the French name "Éliane", which is most likely derived from the Greek word helios meaning "sun". Fittingly enough, "Éliane" was the name of an early saint and martyr, and, as we have said before, the word "martyr" is derived from the Greek word meaning "witness". I began to wonder, "Why is Eliana's name connected to the sun?". As I would ponder this question, a song would continually pop up in my heart and mind, a 1983 song called "King of Pain" by the British group Police. These are some of the song's lyrics:

This is the same song that always pops up in my heart and mind every time I read the title of the posting "The sun is burning out". As I began to meditate on this, I came to the realisation that the "sun is burning out" word was precisely the first posting in which the Lord had us share extensively on the two witnesses of Revelation 11; this prophetic word was posted on March 27, 2005 (before then, we had briefly shared on the 2 witnesses in a prophetic word posted on January 11, 2005 under the section titled "The two black birds", which correlates with the "black spot" mentioned in the song above). These facts began to solidify the spiritual connection between Eliana's name meaning "sun" and the 2 witnesses of Revelation 11.

{It is interesting to note that, on February 11, 2007 --- 2 days prior to Eliana's death --- the group Police reunited to perform in the 49th annual Grammy Awards in America; they were reuniting after 23 years being apart. The next day, on February 12, 2007 --- the last full day Eliana was alive on Earth --- the Police threesome announced that they would be touring together in 2007. This sudden reunion of Police speaks of the unlikely resurrection of things that appeared dead forever. Interestingly enough, Police chose to sing the song "Roxanne" at the Grammy Awards in L.A. --- which would not have been my first choice for such a historic occasion, had they asked me. However, there is a prophetic reason for this. According to behindthename.com, "Roxanne" is a variant of the name "Roxana", which is the Latin form of the Persian or Bactrian name Roshanak meaning "bright" or "star". This correlates with the name Eliana, since "Eliana" means "sun", and the sun is the brightest star in the sky. Also, both the names "Eliana" and "Roxana" end in "...ana". All of this confirms the unlikely spiritual connection between a musical performance by a British group up in America and the death of a model down in Montevideo, Uruguay.

As we have said before, Uruguay's calling is apostolic-prophetic. Therefore, it is not surprising that God's message for Uruguay is portrayed in a "2-martyr" story, since, as we have studied before, God's 2-witness believers are endowed with an apostolic-prophetic impartation that turns them into judging prophets.

As I would read the date "February 13" (the date of Eliana's death), the date would somehow resonate in my spirit, but I just could not put my finger on the reason why. A couple of days ago, the Lord prompted me to search that date amongst the postings, and I was stunned when I realised that "February 13, 2005" was the exact date when the "sun is burning out" posting was emailed to us. In other words, the email which spawned the posting titled "The sun is burning out" was sent to us exactly two years before the death (i.e.- "burning out") of Eliana, whose name means "sun"! This strengthened the spiritual connection between these models' deaths and the 2 witnesses of Revelation 11.

After searching amongst our postings for the date of Eliana's death, I felt prompted by the Lord to search for "August 2", the date of Luisel's death. I then found two postings which were dated "August 2". One was the prophetic word titled "Tigers loose in New York", which was posted on August 2, 2004, exactly 2 years before Luisel's death. When I opened that posting, I noticed (by "accident") that that posting talked about a tiger named "Apollo". This gripped my attention, since "Apollo" is related to the sun god "Helios" in Greek mythology (as indicated on ancienthistory.about.com). This points to Luisel's sister Eliana, since, as we said above, the name "Eliana" is derived from the Greek word helios. As we have said before, legends and myths are often distortions of realities in the spirit realm. Thus, the fact that the Lord had us speak about a tiger named "Apollo" on the same calendar date ("August 2") as Luisel's death is no coincidence, and it certifies the fact that Luisel's death is intimately tied in the spirit to Eliana's death, since the date of Luisel's death pointed to her sister Eliana's name from the very beginning. Their deaths were destined to happen as a "pair", just as the "2 witnesses" are called to die as a team.

{The fact that the August 2, 2004 posting speaks about "tigers" correlates with the story on Argentinian white tigers discussed in the posting prior to this one. "Coincidentally", Eliana, who was from Uruguay, worked for a modelling agency in Argentina. There is a strong historical connection between Argentina and Uruguay. Both countries have a strong Italian influence, and both countries speak with similar Spanish accents. For years, even into the first part of the 20th century, Uruguay struggled with an identity image because many people around the world thought that Uruguay was a province inside its neighbour to the west, Argentina.

The connection to Argentina in all of this is emphasised by a fact which I learnt "by accident" as I was searching the Internet for information on "Apollo". As indicated on wikipedia.org, on May 25, 1961, U.S. President John F. Kennedy gave his famous speech in which he announced his goal to initiate the Apollo project, a project whose objective was to put "a man on the moon" and return "him safely to the Earth" before the end of the decade. As we said in the previous posting, May 25 happens to be Argentina's "national day", and it is the date (in 2004) when 2 white lions were born in West Midland Safari Park in England. There is a spiritual message behind all of this which I am still unable to fully discern.}

The other posting that mentioned the date "August 2" was the prophetic word titled "Flight 358" in which the Lord had us speak about an Air France plane accident that happened on August 2, 2005, exactly one year before Luisel's death. Miraculously, all 309 persons aboard survived. The fact that the plane was from France points to Eliana, since, as we said above, the name "Eliana" is derived from the French name "Éliane". The fact that the date "August 2" points to a dramatic accident in which all survived is a figure of how Uruguay was able to survive the spiritual disaster that befell all of Latin America. Despite the fact that Latin America was cast off by God on June 29, 2003, Uruguay was one of the 3 countries that was able to remain with its spiritual calling alive.

Interestingly enough, Luisel's and Eliana's father, Luis Ramos, was a famous football [soccer] player in the 1960s. He was a starter in the Uruguayan national team that went to England to play in the 1966 World Cup. From what I have learnt, this was the only World Cup Luis Ramos started in. In 1966, Uruguay played in Group 1 along with England, the host nation, and God made sure that Uruguay would be the team to play the inaugural game against England, which ended in a scoreless draw. This connection between Uruguay and England served as prophetic confirmation from the Lord on thoughts that He had deposited in my heart a few days earlier. In a spiritual sense, the US, Brazil, Argentina, and Uruguay are 4 countries in the Americas which represent the 4 spiritual war fronts God's army are currently fighting on; each of these fronts is related to each of the 4 horses of the Apocalypse. Victory in each front is related to victory in each of these 4 countries. On a more global scale, these 4 fronts are being fought on 4 nations or regions: Israel and the Middle East, Germany, Italy, and the UK. As we have said before, these are the 4 focal points (in reverse order) that God will target as His latter-rain revival spreads across Europe and the world. A close study of the 4 war fronts reveals the following spiritual connection:

{It is interesting to me that these 3 big stories from Brazil, Argentina, and Uruguay all happened in the month of February 2007; the anaconda in Brazil attacked Matheus Pereira on February 7, the white tiger cubs in Argentina made their public debut the next day, on February 8, and Eliana Ramos in Uruguay passed away 5 days after that, on February 13. Something in the spirit realm happened as we crossed from February 15 and into February 16, 2007. This is why these events happened in rapid succession as the date February 16 approached.}

{As indicated on wikipedia.org, in the 1966 World Cup, England and Uruguay were the teams that qualified to the next round from Group ehad (One), leaving both Mexico and France behind. This is no spiritual coincidence. Just as there is a spiritual connection between England and Uruguay, there is a negative spiritual connection between Mexico and France. In their negative characteristics, both countries are very similar. Both France and Mexico have an unhealthy influence of the Amorite, Girgashite, and Jebusite spirits. This is the spiritual reason why Mexico (of all places) was briefly occupied by France during the late 19th century, a time when Europe's involvement in the Americas was on the decrease rather than the increase. As we shared in a previous word, "Mexico" represents the spiritual elements in America that ended up angering God, causing Him to "leave" America, postponing His latter-rain visitation in disgust. As we also shared in a previous word, "France" represents God's pounding of America with judgements designed to jolt America out of her stubborn madness. Even in the midst of these judgements, however, America's spiritual calling shall not be lost, for God shall have mercy upon America on account of His remnant in the land of the Eagle. Thus, when England and Uruguay left Mexico and France behind in the 1966 World Cup, it served as a prophetic figure of how Europe (represented by England) and 3 countries in South America (represented by Uruguay) shall overcome the spiritual hindrances to God's visitation and shall survive this judgement period with their spiritual calling still alive.

The spiritual connection between Uruguay and England (indicated in the table above) is emphasised by the fact that the death of Luisel Ramos sparked an international debate on "size-zero models" that spread across the Atlantic and into Europe. As indicated on nzherald.co.nz, Madrid's Fashion Week felt prompted to ban skinny models due to the death of Luisel. As indicated on a report (dated February 8, 2007) posted on news.scotsman.com, this debate reached a climax in the UK during the London Fashion Week that began on Sunday February 11, 2007, a mere 2 days before Eliana's death. Prior to this, people in London and across the UK had been debating London Fashion Week's decision not to ban "size-zero" models, just as Milan and Madrid had done earlier.

Luisel's and Eliana's surname --- Ramos --- literally means "bouquets" in Spanish. This points to their green-horse nature. As we have shared before, God allows His green-horse riders to become exposed like vulnerable "yellow flowers" in order to lure Korah into attacking them. Just like God's green-horse witnesses who are mocked after their deaths (Revelation 11:7-10), both sisters were immediately criticised by the press that covered their deaths; public opinion instantly judged them as "foolish instigators of their own deaths" when, in truth, their deaths were caused by physical and spiritual factors outside of their control.

In recent days, the Lord has been speaking to me about "flowers". A sister (who belongs to our group) had a dream in which she saw flowers in the sky, and, after she shared her dream with me, the Lord led me through an experience which made me understand that the "throwing of flowers" is somehow related to the death of God's green-horse riders and to their entrance into a "blue cocoon of Fort-Wayne protection". This fact is the foundation behind the following passages:

"⁸And a very great multitude spread their garments in the way; others cut down branches from the trees, and strawed them in the way. ⁹And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the Son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest. ¹⁰And when he was come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, Who is this? ¹¹And the multitude said, This is Jesus the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee." (Matthew 21:8-11)

[Just as it happened with Paul (Acts 21:8-14), the Lord Jesus entered Jerusalem to face His death (Matthew 20:17-19). As He allowed Himself to be bound up and taken where He would rather not have gone (Luke 22:42), the Lord Jesus had green leaves thrown in His path.]

"¹Then Jesus six days before the passover came to Bethany, where Lazarus was which had been dead, whom he raised from the dead. ²There they made him a supper; and Martha served: but Lazarus was one of them that sat at the table with him. ³Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment. ⁴Then saith one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, which should betray him, ⁵Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor? ⁶ This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein. ⁷Then said Jesus, Let her alone: against the day of my burying hath she kept this. ⁸For the poor always ye have with you; but me ye have not always." (John 12:1-8)

[According to verse 3, the ointment's aroma filled the house, much like freshly-cut flowers tend to fill rooms with their fresh fragrance. Therefore, the anointing of Jesus' feet is spiritually equivalent to having freshly-cut flowers thrown in His path. We become a sweet fragrance unto the Father when we allow ourselves to be cut down in green-horse death in order to unleash His redemptive vengeance upon the Earth.]

{Shortly before we were to post this word, I became aware (through a sudden prompting of the Spirit) of a story posted on Yahoo! News today (March 3, 2007) about deadly landslides in an Indonesian island called "Flores". The word "flores" happens to mean "flowers" in Spanish (and Portuguese). It is no spiritual coincidence that these landslides in Flores are happening just as the Lord has us talking about the "throwing of flowers" to the ground.}

As we have said before, Latin America (as a region) lost its spiritual calling on June 29, 2003. Luisel's death on August 2, 2006 was exactly 1130 days after that cutoff date. The number "1130" equals 113 times 10, which points to Psalm 113, a psalm that speaks of how God vindicates His slain green-horse riders by causing them to rise from the ashes of utter failure:

"¹Praise ye the LORD. Praise, O ye servants of the LORD, praise the name of the LORD. ²Blessed be the name of the LORD from this time forth and for evermore. ³From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the LORD’S name is to be praised. ⁴The LORD is high above all nations, and his glory above the heavens. ⁵Who is like unto the LORD our God, who dwelleth on high, ⁶Who humbleth himself to behold the things that are in heaven, and in the earth! ⁷He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth the needy out of the dunghill; ⁸That he may set him with princes, even with the princes of his people. ⁹He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children. Praise ye the LORD." (Psalm 113)

As we said above, 1130 equals 113 times 10. Interestingly enough, Psalm 113 only has 9 verses. Therefore, an attempt to find "Psalm 113:10" would take us into Psalm 114:1. Psalm 114 speaks of the fearsome manifestation of God on Earth. This means that, as God vindicates the death of His vulnerable flowers (Psalm 113), His eventual manifestation on Earth is unleashed.

Eliana died on February 13, 2007, 195 days after her sister Luisel's death. The number "195" equals 65 times 3 (or 6.5 30-day months). Scripture has 66 books, with the last book being Revelation. The 65th book is the book of Jude, which speaks of the manifestation of God's army of judgement and vengeance (Jude 1:15). The number "65" speaks of spiritual apostasy, of Judas-style betrayal against God's remnant. This is the reason why Jude speaks about those who feign righteousness but who are really enemies of God in the midst of His Church, unrighteous leaders who are fighting to prevent the transformation of the Church from a "body of Moses" to a true "body of Christ" (Jude 1:9-13). It is difficult to distinguish between the treacherous "Judas" and the faithful "Jude". Their spiritual names are very similar, but, upon closer observation, it becomes evident that they stand on opposite ends of the spiritual spectrum. One (Judas) seeks to satisfy himself (John 12:6), perceiving his brethren as means to foster his own gain; the other (Jude) seeks to satisfy God's will, and is willing to shed his life in loving sacrifice in order to see his brethren enter into the fullness of their spiritual calling. One (Judas) practices a "mercy" (John 12:5) that bypasses God's righteousness; the other (Jude) practices a mercy that enables the manifestation of God's righteousness in others. In the days of "65" (and these are those days), both Judas and Jude will appear on the scene, creating a divide across the spirit realm. As the spiritual battle between Judas and Jude rages, the way is paved for the "Revelation" (book 66) of the Lord Jesus Christ on Earth.

Eliana's death on February 13, 2007 happened 1325 days after June 29, 2003, the day when Latin America was cast off by God. Interestingly enough, 1325 equals 53 times 25. As we have said before, the number "53" (as shown by Isaiah 53) speaks of ultimate green-horse sacrifice for the sake of others. The deaths of Luisel and Eliana, therefore, point to a green-horse sacrifice that has secured future blessings for the nation of Uruguay. As the rest of Latin America slides off into spiritual oblivion, Uruguay shall be one of the nations lifted up by God. The fact that 1325 equals 53 times 25 points to "Isaiah 53:25"; chapter 53 of Isaiah only has 12 verses, meaning that the equivalent of "Isaiah 53:25" is found by going 13 verses into the next chapter, Isaiah 54:

"¹³And all thy children shall be taught of the LORD; and great shall be the peace of thy children. ¹⁴In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee." (Isaiah 54:13-14)

Luis Ramos lost two precious daughters, but their deaths prophesy life and peace for the future sons and daughters of Uruguay. In the latter days, this life and peace shall be manifested.

As we have said before, America entered into Period #5 of her "Days of Venus" on June 11, 2006 (a period of judgement consequences for America). This means that Luisel's death on August 2, 2006 happened on Day #53 of Period #5. As we said above, the number "53" points to a green-horse, 2-witness sacrifice for the sake of others. As God pounds America into spiritual submission, He shall continue His work in other parts of the world such as Uruguay and the UK, for there is a green-horse remnant who have been paying the required price to forge God's work ahead.

Eliana's death on February 13, 2007 happened on Day #248 of "Venus Period" #5. The number 248 equals 62 times 4, which points to Isaiah 62:4:

"Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzibah, and thy land Beulah: for the LORD delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married" (Isaiah 62:4)

The name "Hephzibah" means "My delight is in her" and the name "Beulah" means "to marry, to be lord (husband) over". This is a prophetic word for the land of Uruguay, the UK, and many regions of the Earth. God shall vindicate His smitten and oppressed 2-witness remnant, and, in doing so, He shall unleash restoration upon many regions of the Earth. These regions shall enter under the Lordship of God, and they shall rejoice in deep and abiding intimacy with the Lord, as a bride does with her husband. This will be the answer to the prayers of the pregnant remnant. It is no wonder, therefore, that there is a Hebrew name "Eliana" which literally means "my God has answered" (according to behindthename.com).

The ages of both sisters at the time of their deaths also have spiritual significance. Luisel died at age 22 and Eliana at age 18. The number "22" speaks of the spiritual civil war unleashed by the uncompromising nature of God's green-horse riders, and the number "18" speaks of an ensuing carnage that would have been unnecessary had others not resisted God's will.

America's 4-year revival delay was sealed on December 23, 2005. As we said before, this delay was very much related to the influence of the Canaanite spirit from Latin America. Therefore, it is not surprising that the date "December 23, 2005" is intimately related to the death of Luisel and Eliana in Uruguay. Taking December 23, 2005 as " Day Zero", Luisel died on Day #222 and Eliana died 195 days later, on Day #417. Each of these 3 numbers (222, 195, and 417) are multiples of 3. If we divide each number by 3 we get 74, 65, and 139. This means that Luisel's death points to Psalm 74, Eliana's death to Psalm 65, and their combined deaths to Psalm 139. As can be seen by reading through the passages below, Psalm 74 speaks of the Church's spiritual desolation, pleading unto God for judgements and vindication. Psalm 65, on the other hand, speaks of the outflow of the River of God as a result of those who have made green-horse vows unto the Lord. Psalm 139 speaks of God's omnipresence, even in the Sheol that green-horse riders are bound to experience; it also speaks of His complex thoughts and judgements, ending with a pronouncement of uncompromising green-horse hatred against the enemies of righteousness who defiantly rise up against God. Only those who are willing to harbour this hatred shall be used by God to release His Glory into the Earth; only those who truly understand the difference between "hatred born of the flesh" and "hatred born of the Spirit" shall enter into God's green eternal life.

"¹O God, why hast thou cast us off for ever? why doth thine anger smoke against the sheep of thy pasture? ²Remember thy congregation, which thou hast purchased of old; the rod of thine inheritance, which thou hast redeemed; this mount Zion, wherein thou hast dwelt. ³Lift up thy feet unto the perpetual desolations; even all that the enemy hath done wickedly in the sanctuary. ⁴Thine enemies roar in the midst of thy congregations; they set up their ensigns for signs. ⁵A man was famous according as he had lifted up axes upon the thick trees. ⁶But now they break down the carved work thereof at once with axes and hammers. ⁷They have cast fire into thy sanctuary, they have defiled by casting down the dwelling place of thy name to the ground. ⁸They said in their hearts, Let us destroy them together: they have burned up all the synagogues of God in the land. ⁹We see not our signs: there is no more any prophet: neither is there among us any that knoweth how long. ¹⁰O God, how long shall the adversary reproach? shall the enemy blaspheme thy name for ever? ¹¹Why withdrawest thou thy hand, even thy right hand? pluck it out of thy bosom." (Psalm 74:1-11)

"¹⁸Remember this, that the enemy hath reproached, O LORD, and that the foolish people have blasphemed thy name. ¹⁹O deliver not the soul of thy turtledove unto the multitude of the wicked: forget not the congregation of thy poor for ever. ²⁰Have respect unto the covenant: for the dark places of the earth are full of the habitations of cruelty. ²¹O let not the oppressed return ashamed: let the poor and needy praise thy name. ²²Arise, O God, plead thine own cause: remember how the foolish man reproacheth thee daily. ²³Forget not the voice of thine enemies: the tumult of those that rise up against thee increaseth continually." (Psalm 74:18-23)

"¹Praise waiteth for thee, O God, in Sion: and unto thee shall the vow be performed. ²O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come. ³Iniquities prevail against me: as for our transgressions, thou shalt purge them away. ⁴Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple. ⁵By terrible things in righteousness wilt thou answer us, O God of our salvation; who art the confidence of all the ends of the earth, and of them that are afar off upon the sea" (Psalm 65:1-5)

"⁹Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it: thou greatly enrichest it with the river of God, which is full of water: thou preparest them corn, when thou hast so provided for it. ¹⁰Thou waterest the ridges thereof abundantly: thou settlest the furrows thereof: thou makest it soft with showers: thou blessest the springing thereof. ¹¹Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness. ¹²They drop upon the pastures of the wilderness: and the little hills rejoice on every side. ¹³The pastures are clothed with flocks; the valleys also are covered over with corn; they shout for joy, they also sing." (Psalm 65:9-13)

"¹O LORD, thou hast searched me, and known me. ²Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off. ³Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways. ⁴For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether. ⁵Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me. ⁶Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it. ⁷Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? ⁸If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. ⁹If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; ¹⁰Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me. ¹¹If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me." (Psalm 139:1-11)

"¹⁷How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them! ¹⁸If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee. ¹⁹Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, ye bloody men. ²⁰For they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take thy name in vain. ²¹Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee? ²²I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies. ²³Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: ²⁴And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting." (Psalm 139:17-24)

As I read through these psalms, my heart is struck by the phrase "cries of a widow". They are the cries of a weak widow pleading unto God for vindication:

"¹And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; ²Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man: ³And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. ⁴And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man; ⁵Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. ⁶And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith. ⁷And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? ⁸I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?" (Luke 18:1-8)

[Notice how this "New Testament" verse speaks of God answering cries for revenge. The God of Israel has always been the same. He has not changed. Despite man's effort to twist Him into a dual-personality madman, His nature is One (Deuteronomy 6:4). His love is a consuming fire that destroys. From His love emanates overwhelming hatred against defiant unrighteousness, and, yet, there is no inconsistency in Him, for His thoughts are higher than our thoughts; they are inscrutable to the natural mind. It is only as we operate in the mind of Christ that we come to comprehend that there is no inconsistency in the love and the wrath that flow forth from the One heart of God.]

This lonely "widow cry" is emanating from Uruguay and the UK, and this cry is being heard up above. We, the crying ones, shall soon say, "Eliana", for we shall have reason to joyfully shout, "my God has answered my cry".
